Buffered CF2IDE adapter for Amiga 600/1200
According to the Canadian supplier Retro Rewind they are selling the first buffered Compact Flash IDE adapter for the Amiga 600 and 1200. Buffering a total of 24 signals makes the system more stable. In addition, a converter prevents the hard disk LED from lighting up permanently on some CF cards.

Furthermore the connection of another drive via the 44-pin connector CN3 is supported, whereby the respective card is set as master or slave via the jumper J1. (snx)

Amiga emulator for macOS: vAmiga V3.0b2
Starting with version 2.6.1, developer Dirk Hoffmann made changes to the internal architecture of his Amiga emulator vAmiga for MacOS with the aim of porting the new emulator architecture of VirtualC64 v5.0 to vAmiga in order to enable features such as Run-Ahead (background article). Now he has released the second beta version of version 3, which, among others, introduces this feature. Changes compared to the first beta version:
  • Inserting floppy disks failed to work for some file formats such as EXE files.
  • Fixed a bug that routed some key events to the Amiga keyboard instead of RetroShell.
  • The CIA panel occasionally reported idle times exceeding 100%.
The minimum system requirement for its emulator is macOS 11.0. (dr)

Video: "NetFS Revised" under MorphOS
On his YouTube channel 'JellyPowered', MorphOS developer 'jPV' has published a video showing the NetFS Revised developed by Philippe Rimauro in action. This network file system enables the mounting of drives between MorphOS and AmigaOS systems and thus allows the exchange of files between them while retaining protection bits. NetFS Revised also includes a tool to access ARexx ports remotely. The developer has also added a corresponding entry to the MorphOS library. (dr)
