AmigaOS 4: Origyn Web Browser 1.10
Jörg Strohmayer has published an update of Origyn Web Browser (screenshot). OWB now includes a simple toolbar. AISS is supported for it. The changes in version 1.10:
- Added tooltypes for the window size (WIDTH and HEIGHT). The sizes are for the web view, not the complete window
- Stop gadget is disabled now after loading a page is completed
- The 4th and 5th mouse buttons are used for back/forward now
- Added tooltip support (displayed in the progress bar as well)
- Changed some font engine parameters, the fonts look better now IMHO
- Added support for a fallback font (tooltype UNICODEFONT, default Bitstream Cyberbit) which is used for missing glyphs in the normal fonts
- Disabled all stdio output if OWB is started from workbench
- Changed the network settings to the normal values again (at most 5 connections instead of the 25 used in previous versions which may be rejected by some sites). On most pages it's fast enough now, but since especially on large pages with lots of images without sizes, for example most forums, the rerendering of the pages after each completed (image) load still slowed it down a *lot* I changed it to only (re)render the pages after everything was loaded, or every 5 seconds. Although it makes loading most pages much faster, it can cause way too long delays on interactive sites loading additional data like http://maps.google.com/ instead. Since that's only the case on a few sites I guess it's better that way, and when/if OWB gets much faster the 5 seconds can be decreased.
- Back/forward gadgets are disabled now while loading, and if there is nothing in the history to go to
- Updated to SVN revision 239 (BMP image decoder added)

Print magazine: Amiga Future survey
Press release We want to improve the Amiga Future print magazine with every edition. To do that we need to know what you think about it and what we should change in the magazine to improve it for all.
That's why we started a survey called "What is your interest in the Amiga Future magazine?" at the title link. There's an option to write a comment in the survey such as the reason why you don't read it. Of course the survey is anonymous.
We ask all users to join in and give their views, so we get the best opportunity to improve the magazine. (snx)

AmigaGuide/HTML viewer: strangé 0.18
strangé is a MUI-based AmigaGuide/HTML viewer based on HTMLView.mcc. Changes in version 0.18:
- Changes to options.c to load prefs faster
- Changes to prefs,c to handle prefs faster
- Added a "table detail pen", even if not used atm
- Rewrite the code to use SDI_#? for easy porting, but
rewrote some SDI_#? stuff, because they handle mos in
a very bad way
- With the help of Fulvio Peruggi, I finally found the bug
that made local html pages not be load for many: it was
some htmlview datatype fault. Now strangé should open any
local html file easly
- Again with the help of Fulvio, fixed a bug with some fancy
Amigaguide docs LINK parsing
- Fixed documents color handling
- Added BACKDROP option
- Added FANCY option for MorphOS version only, try it out :P
- MorphOS version iconify is now done in app subclass: the
main window is not closed, but hidden, so that loading
and pics rendering continues even when iconified
- Added AlwaysShowTabs prefs option: tab titles is present
even if just one tab is present
- Revisited local and online docs
- Many other minor bug fixes and changes
strangé is available for MorphOS and AmigaOS 3, meanwhile, both versions offer the same range of functions again. (cg) (Translation: cad)
