`19.Aug.2026` Spillhistorie (ANF)	Spillhistorie: Interview with Kristjan Hatlelid (Test Drive II, Wings of Fury) Hans Arne Jacobsen conducted another interview for the Norwegian website Spillhistorie, this time with Kristjan Hatlelid. He taught himself to program by writing code on paper, then borrowing computer time wherever he could find it. That got him to "Frantic Freddie" on the Commodore 64 - and later copy protection and audio work that led to careers in both cyber security and the games industry. Among other things, he worked at Distinctive Software (now EA Canada), where he did programming, sound and music for well known games like "Test Drive II", "Wings of Fury", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "4D Sports Boxing". `19.Aug.2026`	PDF book: Inside Paula's Floppy Controller, Part I At the title link, Keith Monaham has published a 52-page functional analysis of the floppy disk controller in the Amiga's Paula chip as a free PDF file. This first part focuses on the functional level: What does each block do, and how do the blocks work together? The second part will then cover the circuitry itself, including the transistor paths, PLA reductions and timing.
