EvenMore

Textviewer: EvenMore version 0.60 from June the 11th 2002
The freeware textviewer 'EvenMore' from Chris Perver is ready for download in version 0.60. Changes since version 0.60 from June the 5th 2002 (Chris Perver changes the version number only with major updates):
  • Created a very basic work in progress IXML plugin (See Ix-Guide, www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/hudson/187.
  • Amended EvenMore's escape code interpreter. Not sure if these codes are in use already, if they are, someone let me know. I have 2 new codes, *e[50;0;0;0m and *e[51;0;0;0m. Both take 3 arguments after them to allocate a pen for text (R,G,B). 50 changes the Pen colour, and 51 will change the background colour, thus giving you multicoloured text.
  • Rewrote RTF plugin from the ground up with full colour support.

osOpinion: Amiga, Inc: Close That Open Hardware!
»Nowadays, Amiga is a software-only company developing the "Amiga Digital Environment," which is supposed to run applications written in "VP code" on everything from toasters to PDAs. The AmigaOS is being updated, though, and the first new version (4.0) will be a PowerPC OS, based on OS 3.x for the old 68k Amigas.«

Hardware: Serial ATA (SATA) - The new port for hard drives
On the website of Acard, the manufacturer of the IDE-to-SCSI adaptor, you can see that these people are still busy and have released new adaptors. Now they support transfer rates up to 160 MB/sec (LVD-SCSI).

The new port is one of the climaxes of the Computex. More and more manufacturers of mainboards, controllers, and hard drives have products with the successor of IDE and E-IDE (up to UDMA-133) in the program. Serial ATA should replace the parallel ATA complete until February 2003. more ... (ps) (Translation: gf)
