Indivision AGA Mk2: Config Tool 1.1, Core 2.6
Individual Computers has released an update for the configuration tool of the scandoubler Indivision AGA Mk2. With this update it is now possible to save complete configurations and to switch back to the last saved configuration with the Undo-function.

Additionally a software update of the "core" of the scandoubler was released which fixes some bugs:
  • Counters for upper and lower padding areas have been corrected: The number of lines on the output side is now correct, even if black borders need to be added at the top and bottom.
  • if the output side has reached the end of pixel data in memory, it has ended the line prematurely. This lead to an unexpected increase of output frequencies. These new cores now insert black pixels until the user-set number of output pixels is reached. In other words: Even if you enter an insanely large output window that the Amiga does not output, the frequency that the config tool displays will be met.
  • the blue colour component was shifted to the right - fixed in this core.
  • the lower 4 bits of the green colour component was taken from the neighbouring pixel, which is also fixed in V2.6.
  • the critical path of pixel data going into and out of the memory chip has been shortened: The flickering vertical red line does not appear any more.
  • some power settings of the FPGA were way too high. These have been reduced to the required minimum, so the FPGA does not crash any more when higher pixel clocks are being used.
  • the two rightmost pixels of the screen were not displayed at all, which is corrected in V2.6. If you still see a vertical red line at the right border, then this is an indicator that you are trying to view a part of the screen that is already way outside the overscan area. Although the Amiga does not output this line the way that Indivision dosplays it, we will NOT fix this. Instead, you should set the output window size to a sane amount of pixels that comes halfway close to what the Amiga is generating. Another way of fixing that red line is to use the tool Borderblank: This will also get rid of the red line.

AmigaOS 4 / MorphOS: Cinnamon Writer 0.90
Claus Desler's Cinnamon Writer is a text processing software whch can import RTF and DocX format files. It also has a spell checking and can restore lost documents. Thanks to a hardware donation of William 'Fraggle' Morris, version 0.90 as beta version is also available for MorphOS for the first time. An AROS-port will follow soon.

The graphical user-interface was rewritten and now is completely based on MUI. "Other improvements include a new memory and indexing system allowing you to work on very big documents on machines with only little memory." (snx) (Translation: dr)

Dragging a file icon in an editor window or on the editor appicon will open that file.

Extreme fast syntax highlighing:
Lightning fast syntax highlighting, Recognized words can be highlighted with colour and/or font attributes.

File classes:
The driver for the syntax highlightning are applied as external modules. As a result, the editor is extensible for future tasks.

File classes do currently exist for the following languages:
  • C/C++ (minimum requirement SDK 53.20),
  • Catalog-Descriptions (for use with CatComp),
  • AmigaGuide(R),
  • ARexx
Definitionbar:
For recognized words the relevant definition/Quick-Help is displayed.

Bookmarks:
In a document an umlimited number of bookmarks can be set and jumped to with a keyboard shortcut.

Folding parts of a document via definable fold marks: For example, so in C/C++ files, the method bodies are folded away for clarity and better readability of the code.

MDI- or TDI-Userinterface:
Texts can be displayed either in a separate window for each text (MDI - multiple document interface) or all together in a single window with Tab control (TDI - Tabbed Document Interface).

Automatic indentation (atm. only for C/C++):
On typing of a character that initiates or terminates a block, the editor can react with different variations to increase or reduce the indentation ("keep your source code clean and tidy").

Visualization of tabulators, spaces and linefeeds:
Optional displaying of these characters to find missing tabs in a "makefile", for example.

The GUI of the editor is available in 7 languages:
In the basic package, the StormC5Ed interface has already been translated into 7 languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Danish and Russian are currently available. Other languages will follow.

AmigaOS 4: AttachMail 1.4/FastCompress 1.7/FastView 1.1/NetDock 50.5/SysMon 3.1
Guillaume 'zzd10h' Boesel has updated five of his AmigaOS-4-programms AttachMail, FastCompress, FastView, NetDock and SysMon.
  • With AttachMail you can add files to your favorite mailer by Contextual Menu (RightMouse button), (YAM and SimpleMail). In version 1.4 the the PNG icons were changed to Amiga Icons
  • FastCompress includes 4 tools to compress files and drawers with 2 clicks (LHA, LZX, ZIP, 7z). With version 1.7 the PNG-Icon-module is not required any longer as well. Additionally AmigaOS 4.1.3 is not required any longer since the availability of the AboutBox.mcc is checked
  • FastView is a MUI program who allows you to show your pictures by selecting files or drawer with right mouse button or by drag'n drop. Additionally to the two changes mentioned above, the speed was improved and a search area was added.
  • NetDock is a docky to monitor the network activity which also does not use PNG-Icons any longer
  • SysMon is a MUI-based (little) system monitor. The Ragemem benchmark was reworked and a lot of Amiga configurations (for comparison) were added
