WHDLoad: New packages until 26.10.2013
Using WHDLoad, you can install games, scene demos and intros from cracking groups on your harddisk that were not compatible with anything but floppy disks. The following installers have been added until October 26th, 2013:

AROS: Vector graphic programm ZuneFIG 1.0 (20131025)
Based on AmiFIG which was originally written for AmigaOS (Aminet), Yannick Erb is developing further his vector graphic programm und now has released a minor update for ZuneFIG that corrects moving up/down groups of objects. Additionally the display speed for bitmap objects was improved (factor 8-10 measured on bilinear filtering).

AmiWest 2013: New videos online
Five days ago Bill Borsari uploaded his videos of the AmiWest 2013 to YouTube. They show the codebench-presentation of Paul Sadlik, Lyle Hazlewood with his new music programm Score, the speech of A-EON Technology, the banquet-discussion, the AmigaOne X1000 and a presentation of games which have been released during the last 12 months.

Linux: Ubuntu 12.04 and Debian 7.2 with kernel 3.11.6 for the Sam440ep (Flex)
For the original Sam440ep-board as well as for the Flex-version, 'Spectre660' has released a netinstall-ISO-file for Ubuntu 12.04. Additionally he has updated his Debian-version with the new kernel 3.11.6

MorphOS: IceFileSystem 2.10
IceFS is a 64-bit filesystem for MorphOS which among others works with checksums for all meta data as well as meta-level-journallin and (based on powers of two) supports almost every sector size. Changes in version 2.10:
- Blocksize can be selected from formatting application now (Needs FSFormat)
- FSFormat no longer uses subvalidate.library. It can be safely removed.
- Some extra checks added in filesystem
- Reworked device io layer a bit to allow asynchronus writes
- Fileimages work with non standard blocksizes now

MorphOS: IceDoctor 1.5
IceDoctor is a programm for repairing a damaged IceFS-filesystem and for rescueing the data. Changes since our last message:
- v1.5: HITs at startup removed
- v1.4: Updated to support new reserved area information from IceFS 2.10

A-EON: Voting on name of the next AmigaOne generation
Press release: Cardiff 2013, 21st October 2013
Following our announcement at Ami-West that we are developing the "Cyrus Plus" motherboard, which could spawn three new AmigaONE models, we carried out a straw poll on possible naming options for the new machines. The AmiWest audience voted on the four naming groups included in items 1 to 4 in the table below. The result was evenly split between groups 3 and 4, with groups 1 and 2 receiving zero votes.
However, since the announcement we have received numerous emails, either agreeing or suggesting alternative naming schemes. As a result of this feedback we are now opening the poll to the wider Amiga community. Eight additional naming groups have been included which reflect the most popular naming options suggested. So here is your chance to help select the names for the new "Cyrus Plus" AmigaONE systems.

Magazine: Amiga Future 105 - preview and excerpts online
The full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 105 (November/December 2013) are now available online. Among the articles in the current issue is a report about the Amiga scene as well as tests of Scriba and "Asgard met Vikings". On CD there are PD-software as well as some full versions.

AmigaOS 4: Dragon-/Tandy-Emulator XRoar 0.30.3
XRoar, ported by Ventzislav Tzvetkov, emulates the 8-bit-systems Dragon and Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer. A minimal firmware is included in the archive. For proper compatibility a ROM-image of the emulated computer is required.
Changes since our last message:
- Minimal CoCo BASIC printing support using ROM intercept.
- Fix SAM clock stretching on slow/fast transition.
- New -default-machine option.
- New -machine-cart option specifies default cart per machine.
- Successive files on command line attached intelligently.
- New -ao-device option supported by ALSA, OSS, Pulse and Sun.
- New -debug-fdc option selects FDC debug options (-1 for all).
- New -debug-file option selects file loading debug options (-1 for all).
- New machine and ROM definitions for Dynacom MX-1600 (CoCo clone).
- Add "pause switch". Pause key in SDL & GTK+ UIs toggles.
- Sound MUX levels and single-bit sound interaction improved.
- HD6309: some behaviour verified.
- VDG: 6847T1 emulated, selectable with -vdg-type. Default for CoCo.
- Fix printing on Dragon 32.
- Automatically extend virtual disks on write.
- Shift+F12 latches the rate limit toggle.
- Revamped joystick handling, added mouse interface.
- Fixed PAL CoCo video timing.
- GDB target support. A patched GDB supporting 6809 is recommended.
- Recognise .ccc as a cartridge ROM image extension.
- Many more menu items in Mac OS X user-interface.
- Support the Orchestra 90-CC cartridge.
- New -ao-channels option.
- New -config-print option.

Busboard: Mediator for A3000 in desktop case can be preordered
In September, Elbox announced a version of the Mediator-PCI-busboard which only has three PCI and Zorro II/II slots - but instead of that it is built in a desktop case of an Amiga 3000 and for the first time is compatible to version 2.2 of the PCI-standard.
From now on the "Mediator 3000Di" can be preordered but Elbox did not mention a delivery date.

Compiler: ECX 2.3.1
ECX is a compiler for the programming language E, available for AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS. ECX requires an existing installation of the Amiga-E-package. Version 2.3.1 no longer requires a "keyfile". Additionally some minor bugs have been fixed.
