Update: VCD Save now saves audio tracks
Now VCD Save does also save CDDA tracks and creates a prefs file in which are among other things device and unit and, if wanted, the window position on quitting the program being saved. A support for Intel and Motorola data model CDRs is built in. For the time being not every CDR is reacting on the CDDA mode. But this problem is being worked on. (nba) (Translation: wk)

OpenAmiga On the Lookout for a Logo
The website for OpenAmiga has been thoroughly rebuilt and now offers forums and a new look. The authors are now looking for a logo for the OpenAmiga project. If you would like to furnish or help work on such a logo, click on the menu button Compliance Logos.

The initiators of OpenAmiga have made it their goal to establish a standard for the Amiga. This standard should then make it easier for a programmer to port between future Amiga platforms such as Amiga OS 4, AROS and MorphOS, at the same time offering the user a higher degree of flexibility in determining which system is for him or her. Daniel Miller's Amiwest 2003 Show Report Part II
Before I leave a necessarily critical report of the MorphOS and Pegasos presentation on Saturday morning, I will do the single courtesy of stating that it was a setup-type problem that caused things to go haywire. As the presentation started there was an awkward several moments as the Pegasos which had just been hooked up to the projector failed to cooperate, requiring multiple reboots and typing in the open firmware command line. The presenters were unable to improvise effectively in the absence of stuff on the screen to click on and the presentation limped painfully on for about 15 minutes before ending rather prematurely. more ...
