Workbench enhancement: BetterWB 3.2
Similar to AIAB, AmiKit or AmigaSYS, BetterWB is a collection of Workbench tools for AmigaOS 3.1 which are rather simple and therefore have low hardware requirements. It is meant for purists, low end Amiga computers and Minimig users.

MorphOS 3.4 released
Press release: The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 3.4, which introduces faster R300 graphics drivers, improved video playback on G5-based systems, support for non-native display resolutions on various PowerBooks, screen blanker password protection, and numerous bug fixes and other improvements. For an overview of the included changes, please read our release notes.
We strongly urge new users to carefully read our installation and troubleshooting guides before they attempt to install MorphOS for the first time. Existing users can upgrade via the familiar procedure but are encouraged to read the guides as well. MorphOS 3.4 is available for download in our files section.

ACube Systems and A-EON Technology announce future co-operation
On the occasion of Pianeta Amiga 2013, A-EON Technology (UK) and ACube Systems (Italy) announced that they have concluded a joint co-operation agreement to promote the continued development of hardware and software for the benefit of the Classic and Next-Generation Amiga communities. Details have not been released, though.

AmigaOS 4: SketchBlock 2.5
The latest version of Andy Broad's graphic programm SketchBlock (video) introduces support for palettes. Due to the two-year developing history, the author published some figures:
Currently the source code has 2,5 MB with over 83.000 lines in more than 280 files. The programm is written in three computer languages (C, Python and ARexx), the documentation was additionally created with Perl-scripts. SketchBlock now can handle over 150 ARexx-commands.

Google and Cloanto release Amiga emulator for Chrome browser
Together with Cloanto, Google released a port of the Amiga emulator UAE for Chrome, utilizing the Portable Native Client (PNaCl) for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Chrome OS. This way the PNa-Client requests the corresponding C programs from Google's servers and translates the commands into the native code of the platform the browser is currently running on.
The demo version for Chrome 31+ at the title link can be upgraded for 74 Cent by Cloanto's Amiga Forever Essentials. They include Kickstart versions 1.2, 1.3 as well as 2.04 and enable usage of ADF disk images.
