System Monitor: Scout 3.5 published, including OS4 version (update)
The new version of the system monitor Scout was released today. Besides versions for AmigaOS 3 and MorphOS, a port for AmigaOS 4 is also available now, in addition, some errors were corrected.

Since an error had creeped in when compiling the MorphOS and AmigaOS 4 archives, revised versions have been released in the meantime. The new archives now contain system-specific versions of the accompanying libraries and MUI classes. (cg) (Translation: cad)

SystemPatch 2.96
SystemPatch by Sante Nocciolino modifies diverse operating system routines, in order to increase performance on computers with newer 68K processors. The most is brought out in 68060 systems, but it is applicable on all Amigas from a 68020 upwards.
Improvements in version 2.96:
- Added LoadSeg() and NewLoadSeg() patches
- Updated quicklayers.library with three new patches: BeginUpdate(), EndUpdate(), InstallClipRegion()
- C-code now compiled with vbcc V0.8i by Volker Barthelmann
- Now it reports correct loading of FAllocRasterExcludeList

AmigaOS 4: Update of Instant Messenger Epistula
There is a new version of the Instant Messenger Epistula under the title link.
Because Epistula runs fine now this is the last update for the demo version.
All further improvements of the main program (except the plugins) will be available
only for registered users.
Changes since the last version:
- MSN plugin has now been updated to MSN Protocol 11
- Group names are now UTF-Decoded/Encoded in the MSN plugin before being sent to Epistula
- Fixed the secure authentication which stopped quite a few people logging into MSN. Those unable to login before, but could with GAIM or the official client should find this allows them to login with Epistula now
- MSN plugin now respects your initial presence as specified in the plugin settings
- Plugin integration with Epistula has had a massive re-write
- Epistula will now check for the minimum required MUI custom classes before launching
- General messages window fixed to display the correct message when selected from the list
- Slight cosmetic changes
- Various memory leaks/bugs fixed

MorphOS: Arcade Game Construction Kit (Preview)

to create own shoot games similar to the good old "Shoot'em Up Construction Kit".

- Rate update of daily rates didn't work

AmigaOS 4: Update of official IDE-drivers
Stéphane Guillard has released an update of the official IDE-drivers for
AmigaOS 4. Changes since prerelease-update 4:
- Fixed an interrupt handler problem (interrups on port >1
could be missed) with the SATA drivers
- Fixed the "strange
pause" problem with sii0680
- Fixed the strange "WB drag & drop
copy trashes files" problem observed by very few of you with a1ide
- Fixed a couple of very minor bugs in IDETool
Since this is a central system component, it has been released on

MorphOS: update for the package manager MorphUp
Rupert "naTmeg" Hausberger has released an update for his package
manager MorphUp. Changes since the last version:
- enhanced datatype system
- added
~150 datatypes
- added mimetypes-support
- added support
for standard amigados-pattern
- added
'Mimetypes'-column to the lists. if you don't see the column, check
listtile-contextmenu
muGen users should use the "update"-function for all packages in their
index after installing the latest version. Otherwise, the new datatypes
system will not work.

MorphOS: Update for the Remote Desktope Client (Beta)
The Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) enables the access to applications via
network, which are being run on a Windows Terminal Server. Ilkka
Lehtoranta has now for the first time compiled a PPC-native version for
MorphOS. The user interface has been done with MUI (Screenshot)
Since the head of the project is paying the authors for their
contribution, users of the RDP-client are asked to support further
development with a small donation.

PerfectPaint: New "Pre-68k-fix-Version" for AmigaOS 4 & MorphOS
Marco "Blackbird" Möring has released a new "Pre-68k-fix-Version" of the
graphics program PerfectPaint, which should further improve
compatibility with AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS.
The latest preversion should still contain bugs, therefore feedback is
asked for. At least the basic features should be usable by now, though.
The history and the file ItschiWitschi.txt contains detailed information
on what already works and what not.

WHDLoad: New packages til 06.03.2006
With WHDLoad it is possible to install games and Scene-Demos on a
harddisk, which are only made to work with floppydisks. Also several
incompatibility problems with newer Amiga-models will be fixed.

Video and photos from the Computer- und Videobörse in Bremen (Update)
Carsten Siegner has prepared a video of the visit of the Amiga user group Osnabrück at the Computer- und Videobörse (Computer and Video Stock Market) in Bremen, which took place this weekend (reported by amiga-news.de).
The report on the get-together with the "User der Nordseeküste" (Users of the North Sea Coast) shows, beside Amiga users, some of the computers on display as well: two with AmigaOS 4, a Pegasos, an Amiga 500 and a PC with Amithlon.

Toolbar image manager: Bugfix-release of AISS
An update has been released for AISS, a system to store, access and maintain toolbar images. This version is a major bugfix for AISS 2.1 as the main script didn't provide the correct assigns.
There are two versions available: on the one hand you can download the full archive with an enhanced documentation, on the other hand there is a patch available that will fix the AISS script in your WBStartup drawer.
