IRC-Log: ACK answers further questions from users Adam Kowalczyk of ACK Software Controls has commented further questions to his announced PPC products in an IRC discussion. The main items in short: The planned high end motherboard is preliminary called "Powervixxen TL" ("Thunder and Lightning"). The current specifications don't consider any onboard hardware, but the board should contain a PCIe-slot (16x), a PCI-slot with 66 Mhz as well as 4 PCI-slots with 33/66 Mhz. The PCIe-slot is connected to a common PCI-Bus (66 Mhz) by means doesn't offer any speed advantage over PCI oder AGP, but it makes the use of actual graphics adapters possible. The integration of such a PCIe-slots requires graphics drivers available for AmigaOS 4. The PCI-SLot with 66 Mhz is meant for a combined card (USB/SATA oder USB/PATA). ACK Software Controls is privatly owned and occupies for employees. The current Amiga projects are additionally financed with the support of external investors.
