MorphOS: C64-Emulator Frodo 4.2
Ilkka "itix" Lehtoranta has a Update for his MorphOS-Port of the
C64-Emulators Frodo released. The MorphOS-Version offers several new and
MorpOS specific changes:
- Catweasel support: use original SID chip for genuine C64 sound
- Alternatively you can use AHI to emulate 6581 or 8580
- Multithreaded MUI GUI, Arexx port, Commodity support
- Joystick support
- Display scaling (hardware accelerated)
- Colour preferences
- F12 toggles between full screen and window mode
- F11 hides status bar in full screen mode
- Alternative OpenGL scaling (if you dont like overlay)
- AHI output can't block sound from other music programs
Beside the traditional Aminet LHA-Archive is Frodo also as
MorphUp-Pakage

Computer-Club Osnabrück and the AmCluSt by Guido Mersmann.
Several computer like a Amithlon-, AmigaOne- and Pegasos are represented,

Browser: AWeb APL Lite 3.5.08 beta
The Update of the Webbrowser AWeb APL Lite as Betaversion 3.5.08 for
AmigaOS, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS is linked to the header available.
The changes are the only support of the new AmiSSL-Version 3, Alphablending
for the browser-PNG-Plugin,
support of the ETag-Technic to validate the Cache and minor fixed errors
and a partly adaptation to the memory system of AmigaOS 4
(the mainfile is fixed but the awebplugins and the aweblibs are

AmigaOS 4: TuneNet 0.78a
TuneNet, a Music- and Internetradio-player for
AmigaOS 4, is now in V0.78a as new Alphaversion available.
Note older plugins did not work with this version and must be updated too
TuneNet is Freeware.

PerfectPaint: new pre 68k fix version for OS4/MOS
Marco "Blackbird" Möring released a new "pre 68k fix version" of the graphics program PerfectPaint to further improve the compatibilitiy with AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS. PerfectPaint was originally written by Georges Halvadjian in AmiBlitz2.
In the current version were all memory leaks fixed, the drawing with the smallest brush now works under OS4, too. Further information regarding the current state can be found in the readme.
Please post bug reports and suggestions in the support forum. The PerfectPaint team, namely Blackbird and Cj-Stroker, wish all Amigans a happy Easter.

AmigaOS 4: Freespace I-mission "Einstein's Journey"
Einstein's Journey is a single player add on mission for the game "Descent: Freespace - The Great War". Originally created by Robert Carroll did Jerry Goulet adapt it for the use under AmigaOS 4.
To install it unpack the archive and copy the fsm file to the folder data/missions. If there's enough interest a modified version with a new "Einstein" ship of the USTAC Millenium class and new sounds will be made available.

Hex-Editor: FileX 2.4 (OS 3/MorphOS)
The Hex-Editor FileX written by Klaas Hermans has got a CVS-Repository at sourceforge.net.
FileX is not supposed to get new features but to make it compatible with AmigaOS and
its younger relatives.
New in FileX 2.4:
- MorphOS version
- Cosmetic changes for the 68040 version
- Clearing the source code and adaption to GCC (there is still a lot to do)
- rx_rx(): free() gives free the correct ressources
- Update of the Locale-Strings
- Many further minor changes

AfA: AROS for AmigaOS 3.93.1
"AROS für AmigaOS" extends AmigaOS with functions of AROS. Under the title link
you can find a minor update.
AfA 3.93.1 does not create the cybergraphics.library because the version delivered
by CyberGraphX and Picasso 96 supports the new functions. So some memory
is saved and under AfA you can use the program SaferPatches as well as
maybe further patches of this kind.

Event: Pianeta Amiga 2006 announced
One of the biggest Amiga events in Italy is the Pianeta Amiga, taking place in Empoli near Florence every year. According to the organisers -Jasa Communications, Virtual Works and the Bitplane magazine- the 10th version of this computer show will take place on 23 and 24 September, the venue will be the Palaesposizioni.
