Dread: First public demo version of Doom clone
For a while the developer and demoscene member Krzysztof Kluczek is working in his spare time on the Doom clone 'Dread'. So far only several videos were published showing the latest progresses (1, 2, amiga-news.de reported).
Yesterday he has published a new video on YouTube which demonstrates how the game runs on a native Amiga 500 and 1200 but also a first public demo version for Amiga and Atari ST. The corresponding links are listed in the description of the video. You can support the author on his Patreon site.

SDL port for MorphOS: OpenTyrian
Tyrian is a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up developed by Eclipse Software and published by Epic MegaGames in 1995. The game was originally released as shareware for PC-compatible DOS, with graphics created on an Amiga 1200 (see Wikipedia entry). 'BeWorld' has released an SDL implementation of the open source port 'OpenTyrian' for MorphOS.

AmiKit XE: Preconfigured front end AmiLion 1.2
AmiLion is a front end with wallpaper backgrounds for the Workbench distribution AmiKit XE, written in Hollywood for quickly accessing Rabbit Hole programs like Firefox, VLC or Steam as well as website links like Aminet, Wikipedia or YouTube.
Besides Windows 10, version 1.2 now also fully supports Raspberry Pi. Further changes are an Amiga games page, an icon to shutdown the Windows PC or Raspberry Pi, respectively, new wallpapers and updated guides.

Mod-Player: HippoPlayer 2.47
After 21 years in June the developer Kari-Pekka Koljonen had released the first update of his Amiga-MOD player HippoPlayer as new beta version. Two days ago on GitHub he has released the source code of the new version 2.47 and simultaneosly on Aminet the corresponding executable file. In this version new exotic music formats are supported, favorite modules feature added, enhanced kickstart 1.3

Atoms: A re-implementation of the Amiga game using web technologies
Already three years ago the programmer Thomas Pike reported on his website about the history and realization of his project: The re-implementation of the PD game 'Atoms' (YouTube video), originally released by Tom Kuhn, which was based on a Atari ST game, using web technologies. Linux: Kernel 5.14 for AmigaOne X1000/X5000
The final version of the Linux kernel 5.14 has been released. Christian 'xeno74' Zigotzky has compiled the kernel for the AmigaOne X1000 and X5000. The image can be downloaded in the corresponding thread of the Hyperion forum.

Amiga emulator: Amiberry v4.1.5-RC2
Amiberry is an Amiga emulator for ARM-based single-chip systems like the Raspberry Pi, the Odroid XU4 or the Tinkerboard from ASUS, which brings some newly developed features like a "WHDLoad-Booter" or support for controller configuration using RetroArch. Andreas Winkler has established a little webstore for different Amiga adapters. He wrote:

This step results from the increasingly complicated business and selling conditions on ebay.com, where my adapters are relatively popular. The webshop allows for a more straightforward and better focused selling environment.
Items for sale include my popular adapters for the Amiga 500's expansion port, flexible CPU relocators, and various floppy drive adapters.

Jackal: First demo version available
Recently NeesoGames had announced an Amiga port of Jackal, originally released in 1986 by Konami (amiga-news.de reported), which is supposed to provide "some graphical improvements on the Amiga (OCS-ECS)" and to become the entry for the AmiGameJam 2021.
