Sowjet speech encryption machine for telephone and radio
Right before the summer break a software premiere: the simulation of the Sowjet speech encryption machine "Elbrus". This is a military encryption device for telephone and radio that had been used at the USSR army and the NVA of the GDR. The signal is analogue encoded using a digital code i.e. you get an encrypted audio signal that can be broadcasted directly (without modem) analogue via telephone or radio. With the program you can en-/decode own audio files (or an audio stream of the AHI device). The program should be unique in the Web and is for now exclusively available for the Amiga (68k and PPC). A detailed description and a sound example can be found following the title link. (ps) (Translation: wk)

VIVA-Text: Amigas classical games on Gameboy Advance
About ten years ago the successful story of "Pinball Fantasies" started on the Amiga. Now the flipper simulation is supposed to capture the Gameboy Advance. There are eight different tables to chose which have been originally taken from the games "Pinball Fantasies" and "Pinball Dreams". Diverse ramps, traps and hills are supposed to make a new highscore more difficult. (ps) (Translation: dr)

BruZard: The end
BruZard wrote:
Because of professional reasons I give up all activities on the Amiga. This year I will still manage the AMIGAplus forum but I have been already looking for an user who will do it afterwards. Furthermore the projects "AmiBlitz" and "Stahl2003" are involved. The last mentioned one was a game project for AmigaPPC but it will be published only on Windows PCs because of the negative Amiga market.

Thank you for having 12 years fun with the Amiga and I wish all Amiga users a good prospect in which I cannot believe no more. I regret the farewell but I do not want to waste my time with an antiquated system which has no future. Cya Folks, may the Force be with you! (ps) (Translation: dr)

Amiforce

Amiforce: Amiblitz and Developer Support
Amiforce is immediately offering developer support for Amiblitz programmers. If you have written something in Amiblitz, you can make a connection with Cj-Stroker. If it is shareware, he can create an online registration form, and introduce the program.

The goal is to create a platform that both builds the excitement and raises the motivation. Amiga programmers have become a scarce commodity. There must be more new ones and the existing ones must be kept.

If you have your own homepage, Cj-Stroker can help you to market your program on Amiforce. That goes for everybody.

Steffen Nitz provided the first ones. His programs SN-Münzarchiv and SN-Markenarchiv may now be ordered, and may be directly registered online.

The entirety of all this is yet to be attained over the startpage. Before long the Amiblitz section will be newly displayed and correspondingly a new headline will be entered. (ps) (Translation: dm)

Offer for free hosting of Amiga related (not commercial) sites
We are running our servers on a true T3 now, so we have plenty of bandwidth and space available. If anyone has Amiga content related sites that they need hosted, I would be willing to offer free hosting on one of our machines to them. There really are some nice sites out there that are endangered of going away due to cost issues..

For such a small, dedicated community, this shouldn't ever have to be an issue.

Our servers have PHP4, Perl5, Rebol View/Core and MySQL installed, so all of the above are available to you.

So if anyone needs a content site (e.g. non-commercial site) hosted, we can arrange this with you at no cost to you. This applies to Morph, AROS, Rebol, and Be related sites too.

If interested, e-mail LotR@merlancial.com.

This is my way of giving some back to the Amiga community..

I've personally almost given up hope of anything real out of A.I. now, as they are even in debt to me for a large sum of money...but as far as the Amiga community is concerned, I have better hopes. You truly are a bunch of wonderful colourful individuals who I have always loved working with. It's a shame we haven't made as great a comeback as I would have hoped... (ps)

IRC: BenderIRC Update V1.b12 with smiley icons
The IRC client "BenderIRC" now comes with a new graphical feature. It replaces the smileys commonly used in chats like :-) with little icons. The character sequences to be replaced can be defined freely, as can the corresponding graphics. Thus other texts can be replaced with graphics, too, so one is not limited to smileys.

The first set of icons is already contained in the BenderIRC archive, but can also be viewed on the newly designed web site.

Amiga Arena: Interview Alfred Faust (BarsnPipes), PuzzleBOBS GFX manual
An interview with Alfred Faust (further development of BarsnPipes) and a German manual for creating graphics for PuzzleBOBS have been published on Amiga Arena.

Interview with "Alfred Faust" (BarsnPipes)
Thanks to "Alfred Faust", "BarsnPipes" users are pleased about the steady further development of the multimedia MIDI sequencer "BarsnPipes" Amiga since 2001.

In the very detailed interview with "Amiga Arena", "Alfred Faust" not only talks about the future of "BarsnPipes" but rather more goes into detail about the advantages and possibilities of the program and tells how the release of the sources came about.

The interview is available in German.

PuzzleBOBS GFX manual
The German manual for the creation of custom graphics for the game "PuzzleBOBS" is online.

Thus you have the possibility of making your own backgrounds and game characters.

Unfortunately not all sections of the manual have been translated yet, so please contact Olaf Köbnik if you would like to take on that task.

It would also be nice if some users have fun in creating new level designs. (sd) (Translation: cb)
