Ambermoon Arcade - 030 speed test demo
Patrick Nevian's "Ambermoon Arcade" is supposed to become a Rastan-clone which plays in the world of Ambermoon (screenshots: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
Meanwhile Nevian has published a speed test demo of the third level. Since the EHB-colour mode is used Ambermoon Arcade requires a 68030-CPU. According to the author the slowdowns at the beginning of the demo have been already fixed in the current version of the game. Besides this the opponents do not vanish in the game but lie on the ground.

Picture viewer: LookHere 1.1
Fabio Falcucci's "LookHere!" is a picture viewer created with Hollywood 4.0 (screenshot). LookHere! offers over 100 of different effects as well as thumbnail and slideshow modes and is available for all Amiga operating systems. Changes in version 1.1:
- New languages available: German and French (thanks to Murakami for the franch translation and Michael Jurisch & Peat1980 for german translation)
- Now LookHere! remembers all the switch settings, window positions and selected language
- Added a manual in pdf format
- Removed flickering in the thumbnail mode
- Removed useless Gui refresh in thumbnail mode
- Added a status bar in slide shw mode
- Added the following key support in slide show mode:
- SPACE, RIGHT: Move to the next image
- LEFT: Move to the previous image
- 1-9: Set the pause between images (in seconds)
- 0: Disable the slide show timer (pause/unpause the slide show)
- S: Show/Hide the status bar
- F: Toggles transition effects
- Fixed various minor bugs

Hollywood 4: bitmapencoder.library
With Carsten Siegner's Bitmapencoder.library you can convert pixel graphics to Postscript 2.0 - source code. It is added with @INCLUDE to any Hollywood 4.0-script and offers an additional function.

Atari800 emulates the 8 Bit-computers developed by Atari. New in version 2.1.0:
- added Axlon and Mosaic RAM expansions for Atari 400/800
- added emulation of 1400XL, 1450XLD, MIO and Black Box
- added support of .PRO copy-protected disk images
- implemented tape loading with variable bitrates
- implemented cassette writing via hardware registers
- added switching between NTSC and PAL color palettes
- event recording added (-record, -playback): save your game walkthrough
using the "-record mygame.dat" and later impress your friends by
your game skills or highest score using the "-playback mygame.dat"
- NTSC Filter option added to UI
- monitor supports arrow keys - e.g. up-arrow for history
- fix for "Ilusia" demo
- better GTIA bug mode emulation
- POKEY sound: nonlinear mixing (not enabled by default), two-tone filter

Giana Sisters for Nintendo DS released
The jump-and-run game Giana Sisters was published for Nintendo DS - afterwards the Amiga game was no longer sold 20 years ago because of legal objections of the Japanese Video game company.

AmigaOS 4: 3D-Astronomy program Celestia
Andrea "afxgroup" Palmaté has ported the 3D-astronomy program Celestia to AmigaOS 4. The archive includes only very small objects. If you want to use the program more intensively you have to install additional extensions.
Apparently some "Out of Memory"-errors may happen if you want to change the size of the window. The author recommends to start the program again when a new size of the window was set.
Celestia requires MiniGL 2.1 Beta.

Remake of GVP-products
GVP-M is going to produce some of its Amiga extensions. The American trader Hut offers the following products in his webshop:
- GVP 4MB and 16MB 60ns RAM Module
- GVP 4060DT
- GVP A2000 060 Accelerator
- GVP Spectrum Graphics Board
- GVP Typhoon A1200 030 40MHz Accelerator
These products probably will be not delivered to Europe because it is a remake of old developments which do not square with the RoHS-directive.

AmigaOS 4: MiniGL 2.1 Beta
Hans de Ruiter has published an update of the OpenGL-compatible 3D-API MiniGL for AmigaOS 4. Beta version 2.1 fixes some bugs and includes updated developer files to all new functions of MiniGL 2.x.

Web-Browser Merlin 0.0.3
Under the title link another beta version of the Web browser Merlin for AmigaOS and AmigaOS 4 (and some other platforms) was published. Version 0.0.3 includes an additional 68k-version which is twice as fast and which fixes colour bugs of the graphical user-interface.
