Mutant Monty: Reprogramming of the Amstrad classic for the Amiga
Mutant Monty is a reimplementation of the 1984 classic of the same name, which is still commercially available for the Amstrad CPC, C64 and ZX Spectrum. The Amiga game, modeled after the C64 version with more colorful and slightly modified graphics by Kevin 'Invent' Saunders and sound by Jochen 'Virgill' Feldkötter, was implemented by Frank 'CoBour' Neumann using the Scorpion engine. The source code is available on GitHub. (snx)

"Programmable" Kickstart Switch: SidecarTridge Kickstart Emulator
The SidecarTridge Kickstart Emulator, advertised by the manufacturer as "programmable", uses an RP2350 microcontroller, which sits in the socket for the Kickstart ROM via an adapter board, to emulate various official and unofficial Kickstarts. The Kickstart images are written to the device via USB: in "USB Mass Storage Mode", the extension is recognised as an external drive by modern computers.

Since the SidecarTridge Kickstart adapter board is designed for a single ROM socket, the hardware is currently only compatible with the A500 and A2000. The supplier is based in Spain, and a Kickstart emulator costs just under £45 plus shipping costs. (cg)
