Source code of "Trap Runner" released
After the collector's edition of his jump'n run Trap Runner has been available, similar to other games Frank Wille has released the source code, level files and graphics of the game under a Public Domain licence. The archive includes all files necessary for creating a disk image of "Trap Runner".
The build process is portable that means you can assemble the game on different platforms. Additional to an ISO-C99 compiler and the AmigaOS assembler includes, only GNU-make, vasmm68k_mot and vlink are required. All other tools you can build from the source code. In Makefile you only have to adapt the variable ASINC to the corresponding environment. It includes the path to the Amiga includes.

Commercial Shoot'em Up: "Skillgrid" as download or Boxed Edition (AGA)
Skillgrid (video) developed by Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua (e.g. BOH, Huenison) is an abstract, vertical shoot'em up which runs endlessly and according to the developer with "frenetic, tactical gameplay", diverse sub-games and many boss battles the player is supposed to be encouraged to chase after new highscores. The game requires an AGA computer.
Skillgrid is available from itch.io as chargeable download for 7,99 USD (about 7 Euro) or from RGCD as Boxed Edition providing two variants: As "basic CD-only version that comes with an auto-booting jewel-cased, glass-mastered CD complete with a professionally printed 16-page manual, a large weather-proof vinyl RGCD sticker, RGCD and Retream postcards and two disk labels (so you can make your own floppies from the images on the CD)" (for about 19 Euro) or as "deluxe version comes with all this plus a packet of four beautiful 25mm button badges, an A3 poster (rolled) and the game on two floppy disks - all presented in a plastic clam shell box complete with custom made foam insert" (for additional 6,90 Euro).

The PDF magazine REV'n'GE ("Retro Emulator Vision and Game") is available in Italian as well as in an English-language translation. REV'n'GE compares and reviews games on vintage computers.

Using Amiga disks on PC: ADF-Copy 1.001 and ADF-Drive-Firmware 1.001
Using the USB adapter ADF-Drive and the corresponding copy program ADF-Copy you can read Amiga disks with a PC drive under Windows, Linux or on the Raspberry Pi (amiga-news.de reported).
Version 1.001 of ADF-Copy provides the following changes:
- more detailed diskinfo and used blocks
- format disk, format several disks
- changing drive timings for larger compatibility woth older drives, mtp mode on/off, number of retries and saving them to EEPROM
- compare disk to adf file
- graphical overhaul of interface
- bugfixes of v1.000

WHDLoad: New installers until 20.04.2019
Using WHDLoad, you can install games, scene demos and intros from cracking groups to your harddisk that were only working from floppy disks previously. The following installers have been added until April 20th, 2019:

MorphOS: RNORadio 1.1 and RNOWidgets 1.4
RNORadio, a GUI based Interner radio player program for MP3 streams, and RNOWidgets have been updated. RNOWidgets is a single application incorporating several desktop widgets. It contains widgets for calendar (ISO), analog clock, digital clock, notes, pictures (local and net), RSS feeds, sticker, and weather. ARexx also is supported.
New in RNOWidgets 1.4:
- Added SSL support for network enabled widgets (requires AmiSSL v4)
- Added CXKEY (global hotkey) option to iconify/un-iconify widgets
- Changed the console output method
- RSS: Updated presets
- RSS: Added RDF compatibility
New in RNORadio 1.1:
- Added hotkeys for favourite stations
- Shoutcast search results can also be reverse sorted
- No longer asks twice if you want to replace a station
- Fixed some iconifying and commodity issues with the MUI GUI
- Changed the Shoutcast keyword handling to always use lowercase
- More verbose handling connection errors

Game: Shogo - Mobile Armor Division 1.6
Hyperion Entertainment's port of the first-person shooter "Shogo: Mobile Armor Division" has been updated to version 1.6 which fixes two bugs:
- Fixed: Some inputs (like the ^ Key for console activation) could cause an ISI crash on some devices.
- Fixed: If running another program with the same AHI unit in the background, Shogo could crash on exit.
The update is available in the restricted download section.

Emulator: WinUAE 4.2.0
Version 4.2.0 of the well-known Amiga emulator WinUAE has been released.
New features:
- uaegfx and Picasso IV Overlay/PIP support
- All GUI listviews support column order and column width customization
- Custom ROM selection (4 slots) added
- Direct3D 9/11 shader embedded config entry support
- 68030 MMU instruction disassembler support and other disassembler fixes
- 68030 MMU emulation will now also create short type bus error stack frames when possible, matching real 68030 behavior
- Windowed mode keeps aspect ratio if CTRL is pressed while resizing
- Added debugger invalid access logger (memwatch l)
- Reject Alt+ Windows system menu key shortcuts. Invalid short cut combinations can generate annoying Windows alert sounds
- KS ROM selection supports loading and relocation of hunk and m68k elf executables
Bug fixes:
- Direct3D 11 shader support fixes
- CDTV CD drive read/play startup delays adjusted. Fixes Town without no name speech audio track stopping too early
- Accelerator board CPU fallback (to mainboard CPU mode) works again
- Many video port adapters (which includes grayscale mode and genlock) didn’t support all doubling modes
- Minor custom chipset fixes (Small graphics corruption in certain special situations)
- Moving mouse outside and back to WinUAE window in Magic mouse activated WinUAE window even if some other window was already active
- AVI recording with non-standard refresh rate was reset to default if GUI was entered and exited during recording
- uae-configuration returned return code 10 even when matching config entry was found
- “Add PC drives at startup” enabled and same drive’s root directory also mounted manually: drive was mounted twice. (Introduced in 4.1.0)
- Genlock transparency didn’t always activate even when genlock emulation was enabled

AROS: Distribution Icaros Desktop 2.2.7
Paolo Besser has released an update of his AROS distribution Icaros Desktop. Additional to some bug fixes among others a VMware-SVGA driver (still not completed) was added (can be activated after the installation, see title link), a PCX datatype, the program ViewLHA as well as the games Digger and HydraCastle.

Lawsuit: Court order denying motion to enjoin C-A Acquisition Corporation
After the failed registration of the trademark "Workbench" in the EU and the denied motion for preliminary injunction against the sale of AmigaOS 3.1.4, Cloanto has to deal with the third setback in a row: the court has denied enjoining C-A Acquisition Corporation as plaintiffs (PDF file).
C-A Acquisition Corp., founded last year and being owned like Cloanto by Mike Battilana, "acquired all remaining intellectual property assets of Plaintiff Amiga, Inc. (amiga-news.de reported) and then turned around and granted Cloanto the right to register and monetize the trademark AMIGA."
The court agrees with Hyperion that "plaintiffs have not acted diligently to meet the deadlines for adding a party or amending their claims."
And it is explained: "Turning to the question of adding a new party, the Court is struck by how Plaintiffs' actions appear reactive to Hyperion's pending Motion to Dismiss. Hyperion's ability to defend these claims is prejudiced by Plaintiffs' attempts to shuffle the parties and the rights of those parties mid-case. Although Plaintiffs discuss their efforts to move quickly in February and March of this year, Plaintiffs do not adequately explain why C-A Acquisition was created after this case was filed, and after the deadline for joining new parties. Plaintiffs do not adequately explain the delay between creating C-A Acquisition and the February 1 transfer. If the Court considers Mike Battilana's assertions that he was trying to acquire Amiga's rights well before Hyperion's pending Motion to Dismiss was filed, this does not explain why Plaintiffs could not have moved the Court for an extension of these deadlines at an earlier point. Plaintiffs' actions do not strike the Court as demonstrating diligence and granting this Motion would prejudice Defendant Hyperion. Accordingly, the Court will deny this Motion in its entirety."
