MorphOS: File manager DrawerBall 0.2j
Tom "Amigaharry" Duin has published an early version of the file manager called Drawerball. The source directory must be set at the beginning of the program ("Drawerball SYS:") and the destination directory must be set under the menu "Project/Set destination".

AmigaOS 4: AmiDVD 1.46 (beta) with Dual-Layer-support (Update)

AmigaOS 4: RAR3-support for Unarc/XAD
Chris Young has published a modul for the XAD-system which is included in AmigaOS 4. With this modul it is now possible to extract RAR-archives of version 3. Selfextracting RAR-archives used e.g. by Microsoft are not supported.

MorphOS: VLC 0.8.6f beta 5
Rupert Hausberger is making available an update to his MorphOS port of the media player VLC.
Changes in version 0.8.6f beta 5:
- Now keys from vlcrc are used and can be defined in there
- Implemented audio-volume handling to ahi_dev module
- Implemented wb-start and added VLC.info (no tooltypes)
- Fixed libdvdnav stuff (now realy)
- Fixed mouse-pointer offsets
- Fixed new-line problem in the shell
- Fixed config-load/save stuff
- Fixed option --longhelp crash
- Fixed all getenv(HOME) to PROGDIR:home
- Fixed hit when pressed the RMB
- Got rid of usergroup.library

MorphOS: PowerSDL 12.1

AmigaOS 4: AmiArcadia 6.1 / French catalog file
Now there is a version of the emulator AmiArcadia for AmigaOS 4. The program emulates the console family Emerson Arcadia 2001 to which belong the models Bandai, Emerson, Grandstand, Hanimex, Intervision, Leisure-Vision, Leonardo, MPT-03, Ormatu, Palladium, Poppy, Robdajet, Rowtron, Tele-Fever, Tempest, Tryom and Tunix.
Additionally Alexandre Balaban has published a French catalog file for AmiArcadia.

Demo scene: The Making of "9 Fingers"
9 Fingers created by the Spaceballs is one of the classics of the demo scene: Digitized video sequenzes together with cool soundtrack create a kind of music video.
At YouTube there is the original video resources which later were changed with the Amiga.

AmigaOS 4: Instant Messenger SabreMSN, Alpha 7
James "jahc" Carroll has published another alpha version of his Instant Messenger for the MSN-network (screenshots: 1, 2).
In alpha 7 it is now possible to transfer files. Currently you can only send or receive one file and transfers cannot be aborted. The ASL-dialog for choosing a file to transfer is not asynchronous. That means the messenger stops working as long as the requester is opened. Downloads will be always saved to the RAM-disk.
The ports which are supposed to be used for transfers must be configured in the "Settings"-windows.

MorphOS: VLC 0.8.6f Beta 4
Rupert Hausberger has published another update of his MorphOS port of the media player VLC. Changes in VLC 0.8.6f beta 4:
- Implemented DVD support with menus and mouse-control through libdvdnav
- Reworte condition-handling in naThreads. Now signals are used instead of simple delays
- Fixed a52/ac3 volume problem
- Fixed aspect-ratio problem
- Fixed wrong redraw at window-resize, both in wpa and overlay
- Some small fixes and improvements

Hobby project: CompactFlash-adapter for A1000 clone
Georg Braun has developed a CompactFlash adapter for the frontal slot of his exchange mainboards of the Amiga 1000. He provides all essential files as well.
Please note that this adapter cannot be used with original Amigas: Either it is required the GB-A1000-mainboard of the developer or modified Phoenix-board.

AROS: First test version of SAM440-port
Michal Schulz has published an early test version of the SAM440-port for AROS.
Currently the kernel works with 512 MB RAM, the change of the screen mode may cause instabilities and only the DVI port was tested.

AROS: Frontier - Elite 2
Jason Stevens has ported GLFrontier which is a SDL-/OpenGL-based reimplementation of the Space Opera classic Frontier: Elite 2 to AROS and deleted all OpenGL dependence.
The game only uses SDL for the graphics. Currently the game only works with 8 or 24 Bit screens. The keyboard support has still some problems. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Jump'nRun: Development of Mr. Beanbag not canceled
The last demo version of "Mr.Beanbag" which is a classical Jump'n'Run game was published over a year ago.

Amithlon: Workbench-environment AmigaSYS
AmigaSYS is a preinstalled Workbench-environment with many extensions - similar to AIAB (Amiga In A Box) or AmiKit. Furthermore a file with the Kickstart-ROM as well as at least one Workbench disks version 3.x are required.
From now on there is a version for the emulator Amithlon as well. You can get further information to the requirements and features of the package under the title link.
