File system: smbfs 2.1 released after two years of development In last two years smbfs was comprehensively revised and rewritten for the SMBv1/CIFS protocol based on the historical and official documents. The new smbfs 2.1 improves the robustness and compatibilty of the file system which e.g. can access NAS systems and corresponding computers. The support of Unicode, big files (> 4 GB) and resuming of interrupted connections to the data server were added. A lot of bug fixes were done as well. (snx) (Translation: dr) [News message: 27.
