A-EON buys Personal Paint, full version removed from Aminet (2nd Update) In a joint press release, A-EON and Cloanto announce that A-EON will exclusively develop and distribute all future versions of Cloanto's paint program Personal Paint. PPaint 7.3 for AmigaOS 3 and 4 is currently available through Amistore, the press release also mentions potential ports to AROS and MorphOS. Cloanto will continue to distribute version 7.2 with Amiga Forever. At the request of the copyright holders, the full version of Personal Paint, which had been released on Aminet 17 years ago, has been removed from the archive yesterday. Approached by Amiga-News, Trevor Dickinson from A-EON states that they "plan to offer free downloads of historical Classic versions in the future". Update: (28.11.2014, 19:10, cg) While at least one administrator of an Aminet mirror who hadn't removed the file yet, has apparently been contacted individually in the meantime, A-EON has now created a download page for the old Personal Paint 7.1c at ppaint.amistore.net. 2nd Update: (30.11.14, 09:22, snx) Also at Cloanto version 7.1c of PPaint can be downloaded.
