Instant Messenger: Jabberwocky 1.9
A week ago the version 1.9 of the MUI-based Instant-Messenger-client Jabberwocky was released. With the help of server-modules the programm allows you to access different Messenger-networks (e.g. AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo) and is available in this latest version for AmigaOS, AmigaOS 4 und MorphOS.
Changes:
- Minor updates to Jabberwocky guide and readme files
- Fixed crash when login window register button selected with no JabberID
- Changed the way the "resource" part of the JabberID is added so that
the default "resource" will also be displayed with the JabberID in the
status block at the top of the main Jabberwocky window
- Added xmpp:ping namespace for recognizing and responding to ping requests
- Added bug fixes to Iksemel library from Iksemel SVN repository
- Changed sound noticication function to skip invalid/failed sound
files instead of blocking all sound play in the program
- Fixed datatype image loading of logos in Login and About windows
- Fixed ARexx script execution failure caused by spaces in filenames
- Added more default filename extensions to ARexx script Requester
- Changed chat send functions to work better with AROS
- Changed chat & console window save functions to work for
AROS version of Jabberwocky
- Made several changes to avoid compile errors for OS3
- Made changes to show more accurate status in file transfer window
- Added changes for compiling AROS version (Matthias Rustler)
- Changed from Textinput.mcc to BetterString.mcc for "send"
string gadget in the chat windows (Matthias Rustler)
- Fixed timer class to avoid crash in login window
- Updated Jabberwocky guide and readme to reflect changes to
BetterString.mcc
- Changed opening MCC checks to look for BetterString.mcc instead
of Textinput.mcc and associated library
