Accelerator board: Vampire 600 is stable Two years ago Igor Majstorovic announced the FPGA-based accelerator board Vampire 600 for the Amiga 600. According to the developer in the VooDoo-Amiga forum this board is stable and is currently tweaked. He then is going to produce (after the revision) 50 boards with 8 MB memory, and then with 64 MB. Compared with accelerator boards which have a proper 680x0-processor, like the Fúria EC020, currently the Vampire has a lower performance speed (checked by Sysinfo): With a 72 MHz clocked FPGA, 1332 Dhrystone-instructions per second, compared with the Fúria, which features 4846 on its 28 MHz MC68EC020FG25.
