20.May.2004 whoosh (ANF) |
Cross-Compiler: gcc 3.3.1 for AmigaOS 3 creates AROS-Binaries "whoosh" combined the sources of gcc-3.3.1-aros and gcc-3.3.3-amigaos to create a gcc version that runs under AmigaOS 3 and compiles binaries for AROS-x86. He also ported binutils-2.14. The compiler requires a working GeekGadgets environment and the linker libraries and includes from www.aros.org/download.php. It is used like this: i686-pc-aros-gcc-3.3.1 -march=i486 -s -O2 hello.c -o hello.o i686-pc-aros-gcc-3.3.1 -s -march=i486 -o hello hello.o The default target is i686, but you can create binaries for i386, i486, i586, i686, pentium or pentiumpro AROS x86 machines. The c compiler part of the port was tried out on various graphics demos from the AROS website, all of them ran successfully. The c++ part of the port is completely untested and the author would appreciate feedback regarding this issue. (cg) [News message: 20.
