Computerwoche: BIOS Successor EFI Advances
Within three months the longtime partners Microsoft and Intel wish to establish a forum to spread a new PC specification named EFI
(Extensible Firmware Interface). EFI attempts to replace BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) that has been used for 23 years.
