Opening of the CeBIT 2003 Today, Wednesday the 12th of March 2003, the CeBIT opened its doors. The world's largest IT fair in Hannover will last until March the 19th 2003. While there is a loss of exhibitors and exhibition space experts guess there will be, facing the stressed situation of the German economy, a decrease of visitors also. But at least the IT trade keeps slightly optimistic. This year UMTS, the tablet PC and once more the competition between Windows and Linux will be in the focus. Among the others there is Genesi, developer and distributor of the Pegasos, attending the show. AMIGA Inc. have canceled their attendence just some days before the start of the fair. Reports of the CeBIT 2003 will be to read at amiga-news.de and AMIGAplus soon. (nba) (Translation: ub) [News message: 12.
