CHIP online: Hacker-Group: Spy Tool for File Exchange Software? Roland 'Cyco Myco' Weigert writes: I just read two very interesting columns at CHIP Online. The first is from January 14th and covers the topic: "Hacker Group: Spy Tool for File Exchange Software." According to this there is apparently a hacker group in the service of the RIAA which uses a covertly installed worm in Windows and Linux media players to see what media files the user has, then sends the information back over the Internet to the music industry (RIAA). In the second article, from yesterday, comes this: (Music Industry: No Spying in File-sharing Software), denies the RIAA, who have something to do with all this.
