RiscPC: New computers for the Acorn fans The one or the other perhaps remembers the RiscPCs based on ARM/StrongARM processors built by the Acorn company. The manufacturer changed some years ago its name to Element 14 and abandonned the further develoment of its desktop computers. The rights for the operating system "RiscOS" now belong to the company RiscOS Ltd. RiscOS compatible computers are produced by smaller independant British manufacturers like Castle or MicroDigital. As OSNews report, is on the "Midlands RISC OS Show" the iyonix PC sold for the first time; priced at 1299,- UKP it offers the following features:
