Emulator: WinUAE V0.8.22R2 status
On 28th September 2002, status information about version 0.8.22R2 has been
published on the
WinUAE home page.
Note: This is just the information, the update itself is not yet available
for download.
Major new features:
- Kickstart 1.3 RDB hardfile support (autoboot/automount).
- keyboard/mouse/joystick handling rewritten for DirectInput
(Keyboard's special keys can be disabled without side-effects and more..).
The following features require Windows 2000 or Windows XP:
- "unlimited" hardfile size (2G limit removed),
uaehf.device now supports TD64 and NSD -style 64-bit addressing
NTFS filesystem required (FAT32 max file size is 2G).
- ability to mount real harddisks with full RDB automount/autoboot support.
- Amithlon partition support (not yet tested).

- Slow harddisk, CDROM, etc.. performance in non-CPU idle mode.
- CPU idle tweaks.
- yet another disk emulation fix.
- added missing configuration file entries.
- 68000 "more compatible"-checkbox was ignored.
