The Register: Gateway pulls out of UK and Ireland
As already reported for several times, the American PC manufacturer Gateway - who
obtained AMIGA in 1997 and sold it again in late 1999 - this year is deep in the red.
After the closing of 27 US stores and the announcement to close their German offices, now
the closing of their European headquarter in Dublin as well as their English office
was confirmed, too. Only for Ireland and England 1,200 people will loose their jobs.
