MeterNet® Press Release At the bottom of the following press release MeterNet announced the SimpleBox 8600 series (powered by AmigaDE) to be released late February 2001. MeterNet® Selects EnReach Technology's Easy Internet Access Platform for SimpleBox wb7500 Series SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 17,2001 PRNewswire -- EnReach Technology, Inc., a global leader providing infrastructure software for enabling enhanced services on television, announced today that MeterNet Corporation has selected the EnReachTV2(TM) Internet access platform to power the new wb7500 series in its expanding SimpleBox entry-level Internet appliance lineup. The new SimpleBox wb7500 series will utilize a specially tailored version of EnReachTV2 that integrates Webmail, TV Lists, and MeterNet's SimpleBox User Interface. Each SimpleBox wb7500 will ship preconfigured with US Nationwide access dial-up service for $19.95 per month. Multi-lingual English and Spanish technical support will also be provided. Initial US shipments are scheduled for March 2001. The EnReachTV2 Internet access software offers companies like MeterNet the opportunity to supply their customers with a low cost Internet access solution optimized for television. Advanced smart-fit screen technology and an embedded browser make this a strong contender in the device marketplace.
