Heise: Gates: Split-up would make it harder to defend against viruses "Bill Gates, father and Chief Software Architect of Microsoft, takes the lightning fast spreading of the e-mail worm ILOVEYOU as an opportunity to warn of splitting up the company. "Updates for Windows- and Office-software, e.g. to protect of attacks like the 'Love Bug', would be much harder to get for the computer user", Gates wrote in an article for the latest issue of the US news magazine Time." Full article (German) at the title link. Seems like someone grasping for the last straw... ;-) (ps) [News message: 09.
