Two articles that get under your skin
Subject on the Chaos Communication Congress: Tron (again)
This year, too, Tron's ghost is spooking the halls of the Haus am Kölnischen Park
in Berlin, where the Chaos Communication Congress closes today. The cause of death of the
star hacker is no longer in doubt after two autopsies. The suicide theory of police and
prosecutors is criticised by the CCC, Tron's parents and their attorney even more than
before, however. "It could not have happened without outer force", Chaos spokesman Andy
Müller-Maghun brings the murder theory to the point after detailed studies of the
autopsy report and prosecutor files. Police research has been focused only on the suicide
theory from the very beginning, Müller-Maghun criticises. Other hints have been
ignored on purpose.
GPS under your skin
According to plans of US manufacturer Applied Digital Solutions (ADS), online shoppers will carry their customer card under their skin in the future. The Florida company has now filed a patent for a maintenance free implant, which is (among others) able to recieve and send GPS signals. The transciever can be implanted in the human body with little effort, says the company in an ad, provided with power by muscle movements. (ps)
