Translator wanted (Englisch - German)
Andreas Falkenhahn writes:
I am looking for someone who might translate the manual of Hollywood to German.
It should have been finished some time ago but due to some unfortunate circumstances including the loss of data of a nearly finished German manual we are now just back to the start again.
If there might be someone who would do this job the one will receive an extensive
Airsoft Softwair bundle incl. Hollywood full version. I will emphasize here that the translation really will be a big job. It is about a good 250 kilobytes of plain text which has to be translated. Something like this will surely take more than just two evenings. Interested ones might contact me to check the details.

Terra Soft: Teron-PPC-Board not longer available in the Online-Store
Terra Soft ATX PowerPC Systems
Terra Soft Current and Pending Customers,
"Many of you have enthusiastically and patiently awaited the delivery of MAI Logic's Teron motherboards on which Terra Soft's Boxer ATX systems will be built. We have removed the Teron-based systems from our online Store until further notice in order to reduce further confusion and false expectations. We promise to bring this product to market as soon as possible." -- Terra Soft Team
Background could be a diversity of opinion between Terra Soft and Mai
Logic. According to rumors, which Mike Bouma in the Amiga World forum
drew "from reliable sources", Terra Soft demands 20 US dollar per
produced and sold Main board, including the AmigaOne boards, since
these boards can implement Yellow Dog Linux. These rumors were so far
not confirmed officially.

Amiga Absence at CeBIT
Mar 6, 2003 - Late last year, Amiga announced its intention to launch
AmigaOS4.0 at the CeBIT show
in Germany. Since then, the project has
advanced into its final stages but unfortunately not to the point where
we are ready to ship. We have thus decided not to attend the Cebit
Germany show. Instead we are looking at other shows and opportunities
in the near future to provide a suitable platform for the launch of
the new Amiga.

Warning: Nethands.de Warned About Missing Banner
As already
reported many times,
many homepage makers (it doesn't matter if they are private or commercial) are not aware that the new telecommunications service law (TDG) and/or the intermediate services state regulations (MDStV) include a provision requiring a banner. There are constantly resourceful (or better put, flighty) lawyers who want to earn their bread with warnings.
Flighty therefore, because it could be possible throughout to draw attention to a possible violation through email, and to offer to help out. If this remains unsuccessful first of all, our opinion about a warning is justified. The law is conclusively implemented to protect the surfer, and not to to enrich lawyers through warnings as well.
Read under the title link about how Nethands.de handles the warning, and help them if you have the opportunity.
