Christian Rosentreter has released updates of some of his AmigaOS/MorphOS tools, aswell as a port of the SDL based board game Atakks. There's also an update of the AmigaGuide/HTML viewer strangé aswell as a converter for HivelyTracker and AHX music modules.
SerialEcho 50.5
SerialEcho works like the AmigaDOS built-in command 'Echo',
but its output is redirected to the serial port instead
(which can be catched with another computer connected to
the serial port or a tool like Sashimi). New in version 50.5:
- fixed enforcer hit when SerialEcho was used w/o arguments
- OS4 port
- AROS port thx to Matthias Rustler (binary archive only available on aros-archives atm.)

AI for the blue player by pressing 'i' during the game. Press 'q'
to quit. If manually launched from commandline a french help is
available with '-h' parameter.
Changes compared to orig. version:
- removed extreme CPU usage for no reason
- better 'Quit' handling during play
- nifty iconx start script to catch the standard output in an
acceptable way when game was started from Ambient

MPDControl 0.3 (Release Candidate)
MPDControl is a very basic commandline based client for the
Music Player Daemon (short: MPD). Music Player Daemon allows remote access for playing music (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC, Mod and Wave files) and managing playlists. MPD is designed for integrating a computer into a
stereo system that provides control for music playback over
a local network.
With MPDControl it is now possible to control a MPD server
from MorphOS. E.g. have MPD running on an EFIKA with Linux
and manage everything comfortably from a Pegasos with
MorphOS. MPDControl can be used as a MMKeyboard or Toolmanager
hotkey or be launched via some simple project icons and
AmigaDOS scripts from a dedicated Ambient panel. The
possibilities are numerous.

BoulderDäsh 5.25 - Shockwave
Guido Mersmann writes: Rockford is back! There was BoulderDäsh RTX and now there is: BoulderDäsh Shockwave.
Yeah and the name says what you get! If you thought its not possible to make it even better, then this will prove you wrong!
The new BoulderDäsh provides a completely new gaming experience. For the first time it is not only possible to see and hear massive explosions and rocks smashing. Now its possible to feel them!
All you need to get this experience is a Rumble, DualShock, ForceFeedBack controller connected via Poseidon-USB. BoulderDäsh seems to be the first Amiga compatible game using this functionality.
Trust me in this! It makes the game and the game experience more intense. Its now just a new effect, its like playing a new game.
BoulderDäsh Shockwave! Don't play with Rockford! Be Rockford! (snx)

Network File System-Implementation aNFS (formerly known as ch_nfs) now under GPL
Since a few days there is a new open-source project on SourceForge.net: It is the source of the NFS file system (ch_nfs) written by Carsten Heyl which formerly belonged to AmiTCP.
A few years ago he released the sources as GPL and handed it over to Jens Langner. With this new project he is looking for interested developers who help to speed up the development of a NFS-file system for the Amiga sector.
With the new open-source project now called aNFS the programmer team try to get the source files of the old NFS-file system work under the new operating systems like AmigaOS 4, MorphOS or AROS.
Because the project is quite new developers are very welcome. At the moment some parts of the source files do not exist and have to be written again.
Interested developers may contact Jens Langner and can get further information about the status of development.

YouTube: Video "Space Wars" by Tobias Richter (1992)
YouTube user Kenzoid27 has digitized the animation "Space Wars" from the year 1992 from a VHS cassette, slightly reworked it and made it open to the general public under the title link, in order to bring back memories and to highlight what was already possible on the Amiga at that time.
The video by Tobias J. Richter (Story, Modeling, Animation), Carsten Fuchs (Program) Bjørn A. Lynne (Music) and Frank Brehme (Editor) was generated on two Amiga 2000's and three Amiga 3000's using the programs Reflections 2.0, Videoscape 2.0, Deluxe Paint IV, Scala as well as Music X and was recorded directly.
