MorphOS: Flare 0.16
At the beginning og this month SixK ported version 0.16 of Flare for MorphOS. Flare (Free Libre Action Roleplaying Engine) is a game engine for one player action roleplays which is still in development (Screenshot).

AmigaOS 4.1 Update 5 published
The AmigaOS -team has published update 5 for AmigaOS 4.1-users. Registered customers can download the update over the Hyperion website. All OS4-hardware-platforms are supported. The AmigaOne SE has not been mentioned any loger.
Besides the usual bug fixes, some highlights include:
- Optimized DMA copy routines for 440ep and 460ex based platforms.
- SM502 audio driver and Mixer for AmigaOne 500 systems (460ex).
- Updated Radeon, R200 and Permedia2 Warp3D drivers. Per-application configuration is now possible to help work around bugs in old software. User documentation is provided on the wiki.
- Catweasel driver for floppy disk, SID chip and joystick support.
- MIDI support now included via the camd.library.
- Professional photograph backgrounds provided by mediacube
- Improved Amiga 68K emulation. A full Workbench 3.1 installation is now included. Authentic Amiga ROMs and Workbench files are provided in the new Emulation drawer.

AmigaOne X1000: Costs for used CPU about 100% higher than expected
On amigaworld.net users discussed why the AmigaOne X1000 are delivered so slowly. Trevor Dickinson from A-EON also posted a comment: "There were some minor logistical delays from Varisys set against the backdrop of rising PA-SEMI CPU (~100%) prices and other components."
In a interview one and a half year ago Dickinson specified the costs for the PA Semi-CPU in the X1000 with 500. It is not clear if this is the original price or not.
Dickinson said: "We decided to absorb the hardware price rises and not pass them on to consumers."

EmuTOS CVS-20120813
The Atari-ST-compatible operating system EmuTOS for Amiga computers and emulators was updated and now it is possible to read standard ST/PC-disks (720 KB) (video). Writing disks as well as 800-KB-disks are not supported.

AROS: 68k-Distribution AROS Vision 1.5.2
Olaf Schönweiß has updated his AROS/68k-distribution. It is a mix of AROS and AmigaOS software (English tutorial). Additional to the AROS-files from 4th August version 1.5.2 includes the following changes:

Olaf Schönweiß pointed out that the included versions of Magellan and Scalos have been not optimized. Wanderer still is the standard.
Additionally he has updated his compatibility site as well. It is based on WinUAE and the Kickstart-replacement-ROMs (from 4th August). Results of different versions of UAE should be similar, feedback is very welcome.

Digital Audio Player: Update
