Amiga-Emulator: FS-UAE 1.3.25
Frode Solheim's FS-UAE (screenshot) for Windows, Mac OS X 10.5+ (i386, PPC) and Linux (i386, AMD64) is based on WinUAE and can be controlled with a joypad.
Changes in version 1.3.25:
- Properly close OpenAL device on shutdown (avoids error on shutdown on Windows with OpenAL Soft implementation)
- Bundle oal_soft.dll as OpenAL32.dll on Windows (no OpenAL installation needed, but will not use HW-specific drivers unless OpenAL32.dll is deleted from app dir)
- New shortcuts (soft/hard reset, freeze, debugger) [lallafa]
- Initial FreeBSD support (tested to compile and run on FreeBSD 8.2)
- Automatically choose best texture format for new video_format rgb565
- Added config for Speed-Link Competition Pro Gold [Régis Patroix]
- Added support for RTG modes with native 16-bit buffers
- Copy RTG video row data without pixel conversion when possible
- Added support for PPC / Mac OS 10.5 [Tobias Netzel]
- Added support for 16-bit video and texture formats (new value video_format = rgb565)
- Fixes to allow for compilation with clang
- Replaced deprecated valloc, getpagesize with posix equivalents
- (Launcher) Bundle local Microsoft.VC90.CRT on Windows
- (Launcher) Workaround to make translations work on Mac OS X
- (Launcher) Fixed bug when setting hard_drive_x folders options from config files
- (Launcher) Remove information panels when running on small resolutions

AmigaOS 4: Timberwolf 4.0.1.0252 - RC3
The third "Release Candidate" of the Firefox-port Timberwolf is to solve problems with slowdowns, crashes of the Cairo-library on computers without Altivec-support and with other minor problems.

AmigaOS 4: AmiSystemRestore Release 1 beta version 2
Chris Handley's AmiSystemRestore adds the possibility of a system restore to AmigaOS 4 similar to Windows. If a new programm is installed AmiSystemRestore backs up the system files (SYS:).
The second public beta version fixes several bugs, has a pictogramm. File names are no longer limited to 50 characters.

Jump and Run: Sqrxz for OCS-Amigas
Within three months Frank "phx" Wille in cooperation with developer team "Retroguru" have ported the Jump'n Run Sqrxz to the Amiga. Just like the original this version has 16 levels and 18 chiptunes. The game runs on each Amiga with at least Kickstart 1.2 and 512 KB Fast RAM and Chip RAM.
The port has been already finished three weeks ago but not published because it should take part in the Demodays 2012 for the "Interactive" competition.
At first the game was sold as limited edition on disks - for a fee of 2 Euro. Soon there will be a version which can be installed on harddrive as well as an ADF-diskimage.

AmigaOne X1000: Linux-Distributions Fedora 17 and MintPPC 11
According to Trevor Dickinson in his latest blog entry under the title link, owners of the AmigaOne X1000 can use Fedora 17 as seventh Linux-distribution.
The port was adapted by Pat Wall who additionally has compiled a live-version of the distribution MintPPC 11 for the AmigaOne X1000 which can be started from an USB-stick with 8 GB.

MorphOS: Scriba 0.5.0 with OpenDocument text export
Carsten Siegner has published version 0.5.0 of his simple word processing software Scriba (amiga-news.de reported on it) which is still in development. The latest version now can export documents to the OpenDocument text format.
Currently the module can export the following features:
- Meta-data of the document
- Paper format
- Print orientation
- Text output
- Font
- Font size
- Font style
- Font colour
- Unterlining
- Overlining
- Strikethrough
- Tabulators
- Pagebreaks
- Line format (left, right, centered)

Crowdfunding: ADOM-campaign yielded 90.000 US-Dollar
The crowdfunding campaign for the Roguelike-game Ancient Domains of Mystery (amiga-news.de reported on it) yielded 90.169 US-Dollar and thus nearly twice the amount which was required to develop the project further.

Uner the title link AmigaOS-4 developer Steven Solie wrote in Hyperion's blog: "After much discussion and fact gathering, the AmigaOS development team have officially changed our minds. The new advice is to never call UnlockMem() unless you explicitly called LockMem() in the first place."

Janus - Javascript-based Amiga emulator
Rupert Hausberger's Janus is an Amiga emulator written in Javascript which should work in each modern web-browser. The source code has about 13000 lines of code. Half of it was taken from UAE. A fast computer, ADF or Kickstart files, a browser wit HTML 5 support, WebGL, WebAudio, DOMParser, FileReader and Typed arrays are required.
The Readme currently warns of diverse existing compatibility problems but some games already work - e.g. Alien Breed, Another World or Turrican 1/2.
According to the author he will not have time during the next months to develop the project further. Therefore he decided to publish this early version in order to looking for and win other supporters.

MorphOS: Software-Synthesizer U1Synth 1.1a
U1Synth is a "simple audio synthesizer and a "sideefect" of MorphOS.pl bounty for adding media encoding API to Reggae library. Its synthesis engine is rather simple, it just shapes a sine wave with adjustable ADSR envelope. The main purpose of U1Synth is to serve as example of using Reggae encoders API, writing Reggae custom classes and just an example of good MUI programming style. For this reason the program is released with source code on BSD license."

Text editor: Annotate 3.0 (AmigaOS 3/4, AROS)
The open source text editor Annotate among others features syntax highlighting, unlimited undo/redo and support of several clipboards.
Version 3.0 is available for AmigaOS 3/4 and AROS. A MorphOS-port also is existing but still not working. Changes in the latest release:
- Completely rewrote Ed Exchange so it can now be used along-side the editor windows as a quicklist of editors
- Added the setting to have a scrollbar on the right side
- Implemented different mark modes: Ann, Notepad, Quick where NotePad makes Annotate's selection of text behave like "normal" text editors
- Annotate can now open on a custom screen with a chosen backdrop image, or on the frontmost public screen
- Added find/replace history so you can use up/down arrow keys to navigate old searches
