Aminet: Beware of new virus
On Aminet a new virus crept in which obviously cannot be detetcted by antivirus software. The file util/virus/vprot.lha contained a Trojaner which writes a bootblock virus on a disk. Those ones who downloaded the archive this morning, should immediately delete it and do not use the disks that were inserted.

The Aminet team is very grateful for the warning which 'Crashdisk' as well as the Virus Help Team have given only few hours after the archive was uploaded. A first analysis was done but still it is not clear how to deal with the virus.

'Crashdisk' has published a dump of the bootblock which includes the pseudonym of the author as well as the name of the virus:

Indie Retro News (Webseite) Tactical multiplayer game: GermZ (pre-version)
"GermZ" (video) is a party game for 2-4 players in which everyone tries to occupy cells by sending pathogens into them. Those one who could mass most of its pathogens in a cell, occupies it.

GermZ requires an Amiga equipped with at least 512 Kilobyte RAM, supports up to four joysticks and can be launched from harddrive or disk. This pre-version does not include computer enemies and has some issues on faster computers. This and much more will be fixed in the final version. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Amiga Future (Webseite)

Game: Amiga port of "Raid over Moscow"
In December Erik Hogan released the beta version (amiga-news.de reported) of his Amiga port of the C64 game "Raid over Moscow". Now the completed game is available as installation archive as well as CD and disk image. 1 MB RAM is required.

27.Apr.2020 Arcade classic in 32 Kilobyte: Tiny Invaders
"Tiny Invaders" (video) is a clone of the classic Space Invaders. The game has only 32 Kilobyte and does not have special hardware requirements - but there are some issues with accelerator boards which therefore should be disabled. (cg) (Translation: dr)
