AmigaOS 4: CPU-Profiler "Tequila" 1.0
Juha 'capehill' Niemimakis "Tequila" ist ein einfacher CPU-Profiler, der aktuell laufende Aufgaben abfragt. Wie der Autor schreibt, sei er im Moment nicht sehr genau oder funktionsreich, aber er erkenne, ob eine Aufgabe die CPU belastet.

AmigaOS 4: mySQLcontrol 2.10, myApacheStarter 3.10
mySQLcontrol von Michael Christoph ist ein Datenbankadministrations- und bearbeitungsprogramm für den mySQL-Datenbankserver unter AmigaOS 4. Benötigt wird dafür der in Edgar Schwans Entwicklungsumgebung AAMP (und ggf. Update) enthaltene Datenbankserver MySQL.
Wie der Autor schreibt, können über eine Reaction-basierte Oberfläche Datenbanken und Tabellen angelegt, gelöscht und geändert werden. Auch die Tabellenstruktur kann verändert werden. Über eine SQL-QUERY-Abfrage lassen sich auch gezielt Datensätze heraussuchen, anzeigen und bearbeiten. Ebenso kann über das Prefs-Fenster auch eine Verbindung zu einem mySQL-Server auf einem anderen Rechner oder im Internet aufgebaut werden.
Die aktuelle Version 2.10 wurde mit dem aktuellen SDK (siehe auch Teil 1 und Teil 2 unserer "Einführung in das Software Development Kit"), gcc und AAMP-Libs neu kompiliert. Ebenso wurden viele der bisher noch fest im Programm stehenden (SQL-)Fehlertexte übersetzt und ausgelagert. Das Programm kann unter dem Titellink mittels Formular kostenlos angefordert werden.
Darüberhinaus hat Michael Christoph sein Tool myApacheStarter zum Starten, Beenden und Konfigurieren des Apache Webservers ebenso mit dem aktuellen SDK und gcc neu kompiliert und als Version 3.10 veröffentlicht. (dr)

Ankündigung: USB-C-Netzteil für Amiga-Computer
Mit dem "PowerShark" wird unter dem Titellink ein USB-C-basiertes Netzteil für die Tastaturgehäuse-Amigas 500, 600 und 1200 angekündigt. Akkugestützte USB-C-Ladegeräte würden ebenfalls unterstützt, genauso magnetische USB-C-Adapter.
Gegenwärtig ist jedoch erst eine reine Textbeschreibung veröffentlicht worden. Allerdings gibt es von Mad Hackers Lab mit dem BeamRacer (für den C64) bereits ein erwerbbares Produkt und ein CAD-Screenshot des PowerShark liegt amiga-news.de vor. (snx)

MorphOS: E-Mail-Programm Iris 1.11
Jacek 'jacadcaps' Piszczek hat die Version 1.11 seines E-Mail-Programms Iris für MorphOS veröffentlicht. Zu den Neuerungen zählen das schnellere Anzeigen und Aktualisieren von Unterordnern der Postfächer sowie eine neue Version der WebKit-Engine.
Changes:
- Faster message refresh when viewing a folder - instead of checking the status of all messages, Iris will now check small batches as you scroll
- Faster refreshes of large folders when switching between folders
- Additional message list optimizations and fixes
- Improved scaling of images embedded in email contents in the message writer
- Updated WebKit

Jump'n Run: Boxx 4 veröffentlicht
Der Entwickler 'Lemming880' hat in Zusammenarbeit mit "Retroguru" den vierten Teil seiner mit der Scorpion Engine entwickelten 'Boxx'-Serie auf der aktuell stattfindenden Revision-Demoparty veröffentlicht (amiga-news.de berichtete). Features:
- 14 Amiga-Chiptunes einschließlich Jukeboxx
- jede Menge Pixel der alten Schule
- 3 Schwierigkeitsstufen
- zufällig generierte Bildschirmschoner
- Cheats
Eine Boxed-Version soll ebenso bald verfügbar sein. Das Spiel ist für OCS-Amigas geschrieben, läuft aber auch unter ECS/AGA. (dr)

Entwicklerpaket: DevPack 1.2
Der kostenlose "DevPack" von Dimitris Panokostas und Philipp Lonke ist für Amiga-Nutzer gedacht, die unter AmigaOS eigene Software entwickeln wollen. Die neue Version 1.2 bietet folgende Änderungen:
- ADDED: AmigaRebol V2 by Carl Sassenrath - the cross platform script language (permission granted by email)
- ADDED: Earok's Blitz Basic Tutorials (finally integrated ;-)) find it in Blitz Basic drawer

Interview: Peter Baustaedter - vom Amiga- zum Hollywoodfilmgrafiker, Teil 1
Der Nachrichtendienst tarnkappe.info hat den ersten Teil eines Interviews mit Peter Baustaedter veröffentlicht, dessen Anfänge als Grafiker in der Demoszene liegen - unter anderem wirkte er bei der Veröffentlichung der ersten Ausgabe des RAW-Diskmag (1991) mit - und der später unter anderem als Matte Artist für Hollywoodfilme wie Avatar oder Jumper mitwirkte. Mastodon-Client: Amidon 1.1
Dimitris 'MiDWaN' Panokostas, Autor des Amiga-Emulators Amiberry, hat die Version 1.1 seines Mastodon-Clienten für AmigaOS 3 veröffentlicht (amiga-news.de berichtete). Änderungen:
- Implemented Profile view
- Updated Readme with more details on the requirements
- Added more icons (GlowIcon, MagicWB, 4-color)
- Eliminated the dependency on the MUI Hyperlink class, as it caused issues with some users and it's not part of the MUI 3.9 package.
- Redesigned the Login process, instead of a link to press on, you now have a copy/paste procedure with buttons to help you.
- Only open the Login window if a server name was provided. Otherwise the link would be empty and there wasn't much of a point.
- Fixed a crash when trying to save settings without having logged in first (Anonymous mode).

Diskettenabbilder am PC oder Mac: Greaseweazle Tools 1.10
Keir Frasers "Greaseweazle" liest ähnlich wie Kryoflux die Magnetschicht der Diskette unabhängig vom verwendeten Format und speichert soviele Informationen wie möglich in einem sogenannten "Flux Level Image" im Supercard-Format (SCP), wodurch das Lesen und Zurückschreiben kopiergeschützter Disketten möglich wird (amiga-news.de berichtete).
Zur Verwendung wird ein Diskettenlaufwerk - bspw. ein gewöhnliches 3,5"-PC-Laufwerk - an den Adapter angeschlossen, der seinerseits per USB mit dem PC oder Mac verbunden wird. Gestern wurde Version 1.10 der Greaseweazle Tools mit folgenden Änderungen veröffentlicht:
- New diskdef ibm.160
- gw erase: New option --revs=N
- gw read: Fix --retries=0
- MacOS: Explicitly search for CAPS library under /Library/Frameworks
- gw: Minor fixes to flux-to-bitcell conversion
- gw: Disallow abbreviated long option names
- SCP: Fix footer metadata format
