Emulator: WinUAE 2.6.1
Version 2.6.1 of the well-known Amiga emulator WinUAE has been released. Some configuration optionens have been added and some bugs fixed:
New functions:
- Input panel Invert option added (press becomes release and vice versa,
joystick and mouse movement is inverted)
- FPU unimplemented instruction emulation can be optionally disabled,
emulates real 68040/68060 CPU behavior
- >2M Chip RAM is now merged with original Chip RAM pool
Bug fixes of version 2.6.0:
- OFS formatted partition hardfile didn't mount
- Some AGA demos had horizontally duplicated graphics
- Direct3D hq2x shader filter did nothing
Other bug fixes:
- Reset didn't fully reinitialize SCSI emulation
- A3000 SCSI emulation compatibility improved, original A3000 1.4 ROM
driver hung during writing to the disk

Magazine: Preview of Amiga Future 103

Amiga-500 clones: Amiga 550 and Amy the Dream Clone
Currently there are at least two projects which have the goal to make available an extended Amiga-500-board.
The Dutch exchange board Amiga 550 will have a Zorro-II-slot for a Picasso-II graphic board, IDE-port and two clock ports as well as ports for the MAS-MP3-Player and accelerator boards (68020/030/040).
In Sweden the board of "Amy the Dream Clone" has been already presented at the Retrospelsmassan 2013 in Göteborg (photo). This board was developed by 'Mr. Andersson' with the goal to be used in a Mini-ITX-case and with PC-keyboards as well as mouses. Additionally it has also a Zorro-II-compatible slot. WHDLoad: New packages until 15.06.2013
Using WHDLoad, you can install games, scene demos and intros from cracking groups on your harddisk that were not compatible with anything but floppy disks. The following installers have been added until June 15th, 2013:
- 2013-06-12 improved: Seconds Out (TyneSoft) slave rewritten, another version supported (Info)

Hollywood: MiniHollyEdit 1.6

AROS: AEROS for Raspberry Pi (beta version 2) available on SD-card
The AEROS-distribution for Raspberry Pi (amiga-news.de reported on it) now can be purchased on SD-card. Existing customers and donators, Pascal Papara has made available the image on his website as well.
AEROS is a Linux-hosted AROS-distribution. This version for Raspberry-Pi works a little bit faster (video). A light version has been announced and will be available for free.

A-EON Technology: No change due to Varisys takeover
Press release: Following the news that Varisys, our hardware partners and designers of the Nemo motherboard, had been acquired by Ultra Electronics (amiga-news.de reported), we have been in close communication with regards current and ongoing development projects.
Adam Barnes, Technical Director commented: "We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with A-EON and the Amiga community. We always hoped to develop IP for embedded applications through the A-EON projects, and that has not changed one bit."
Paul Gentle, General Manager added: "Adam and I are staying with the business, and are excited by the future prospects and opportunities that will arise."
