TCP/IP-Stack: Roadshow now also available on CD
Press release: As more and more users ask for it, we have decided to publish a CD-Version (DVD Box) of Roadshow. Roadshow will be available in two versions in our online shop: as a download version as well as on CD, including the download version.
For all users who have already purchased the download version of Roadshow, there is the option to purchase an upgrade to the CD version for 4.90 Euro plus shipping costs in our online shop. Please note: The purchase of the CD must be done via the same account in our online shop as the purchase of the download version. If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail in advance.
About Roadshow:
Roadshow is an Amiga TCP/IP stack that allows you to connect to the Internet, access your e-mail, web pages, chat etc. It can also help you to access and exchange files within your local home network. Roadshow is one of the fastest, if not the fastest Amiga TCP/IP stack. In sustained data transmission tests, Roadshow was able to receive 997 KByte/s (tested on an Amiga 3000T, using a 40 MHz 68040 WarpEngine CPU card and an Ariadne Ethernet card). (snx)

WHDLoad: New installers until 02.12.2017
Using WHDLoad, you can install games, scene demos and intros from cracking groups to your harddisk that were only working from floppy disks previously. The following installers have been added until December 2nd, 2017:

Event: AmiCamp #6 on January 27/28 2018 (Athens)
AmiCamp #6, the Amiga event for all the Greek Amiga User, will take place in Athens (Greece) on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of January 2018. It will be open to the public and all the Amiga enthusiasts who keep using and having fun with their Amigas, especially the Next Generation ones.
Visitors will have the chance to watch presentations about the major operating systems (AmigaOS 4, MorphOS). Computers such as AmigaOne X1000, AmigaOne 500, AmigaOne A1222 will be available among the best Classic Amiga models, which they can use and test. The gaming will also be part of the event, as well, and a SWOS competition will take place.

Action RPG: Heroes of Gorluth announced
Patrick "viddi" Nevian has announced "Heroes of Gorluth" which is an action RPG in the Tales of Gorluth universe. The game again was developed with the Construction Kit Backbone and is supposed to be released in December 2018. The CDs which are limited to 300 pieces can be preordered from now on.

AmigaOS 4: File manager Dir Me Up 3.95
Jérôme 'Glames' Senays' commercial file manager "Dir Me Up" (video) "is a program to explore and manipulate files, links and drawers of your Amiga."
In version 3.95 now extracting files is much faster, the F11 key can be used for full screen view and you can use the mouse wheel for scrolling in the pictogram view.

Elfie - The Unicorn: Jump and Run game for girls (beta version)
Christian Giesing's "Elfie - The Unicorn" is a jump and run game, which the author has created for his daughters using Backbone. "Jack - The Unicorn Hunter" has also already announced and will be the equivalent for boys.
Currently the game is a beta version thus can include bugs and according to the author has not been perfectly balanced out. Some graphics and screens are still missing as well. 14 MHz, 2 MB RAM and Kickstart 3.x are required.

Hollywood: ZIP plugin 1.0
Press release: Airsoft Softwair, the unstoppable coding machine, is back on your screen with a brand new plugin for Hollywood: zip.hwp! This plugin allows Hollywood scripts to conveniently read and write zip archives. It uses Hollywood 6.0's new file and directory adapter plugin interfaces which allow you to iterate through zip archives as if they were normal directories. Files within zip archives can also be accessed as if the zip archive was a normal directory. It just doesn't get any easier!
With zip.hwp it is not necessary to unpack a file stored in a zip archive to a temporary file before it can be opened. Hollywood 6.0's file adapter plugin interface allows direct streaming from the zip archive into the respective file handler without any temporary file overhead. This makes it even possible to stream music or video directly from a zip file!
Additionally, zip.hwp also offers a range of functions to read, modify, and write zip archives. New zip archives can be created and existing zip archives can be opened and modified. There are lots of functions which allow you to read, change, and write attributes of files stored in zip archives. On top of that, zip.hwp also supports reading and storing password-protected files with strong AES-128, AES-192, and AES-256 encryption (though note that on AmigaOS 3.x and AROS it is not recommended to encrypt archives because the randomizer on these operating systems isn't strong enough for cryptography purposes.)
The zip plugin requires at least Hollywood 6.0 and is provided free of charge for all users of Hollywood. Note that it is recommended that you use at least Hollywood 7.0 because with earlier versions there is no support for archives which contain files with non-ASCII names. The zip plugin is available in versions for AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, AROS (x86), Windows (x86, x64), Mac OS X (PPC, x86, x64), Linux (PPC, ARM, x86, x64) and Android. On top of that, the plugin comes with 30 pages of documentation in various formats like PDF, HTML, AmigaGuide, and CHM.
Zip.hwp is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal at the title link. (snx)
