AROS: server moving on 22nd of May 2002
Because we are so popular, the guys at trustec have to move our machine to a new network with a flatrate. So expect our server to be unreachable from Wednesday 22nd of May until the IP addresses have changed everywhere.

If you need to access the machine anyway, its new IP address will be 195.143.191.17. Sorry for any inconvenience. (ps)

Amiga Future: interview with Matthias Gietzelt (author of Emperor)
"Emperor" is a kind of object orientated programming language for the Amiga that is happily available for free (giftware) on the Aminet or directly from the author. A good thing is also that the program is in continuous development by the programmer Matthias Gietzelt and a version for MorphOS is already planned, too. That's enough reason to get to know the person behind "Emperor" better and ask for an interview. The interview was done by Anton Preinsack and can be found following the title link. Amithlon: second contribution archive released
On the Amithlon site (title link) of Bernie Meyer can the following message be read:

New on 18th of May 2002: The second collection of new and enhanced patches is now here available. Please ensure that you have read the (unfortunately only in English available) README.

Download: amithlon_contrib2.lha

With these patches should the problems with Pentium4 systems and VESA framebuffer drivers as well as crashes of PGP 2.6.3 be fixed. Besides that, there's an experimental patch for ZIP and LS-120 drives. According to Bernd Meyer (Amithlon ml) should you install at least the patch for PGP (patch2_vec.o) as it may also fix other problems. The other patches are only thought for those having the particular problem. Especially the ZIP patch is only for ZIP users. (quoting Bernd: "The things it does are *not* nice.") Amiga Society: Software updates
There are some minor software updates. Several new entries have been made to the topic games and the application list has been started, too.

There is still the problem that "Schlachtfeld" works on some computers and on somes ones not. What exactly the reason is we do not know. Currently there are some tests on several computer platforms to solve this problem. (ps) (Translation: dr)

ToT: Exchange of experiences with programmers and musicans wanted
Martin Wolf wrote:
Because of a exchange of experiences we are urgently looking for an Amiga-programmer who is experienced in StormC gcc especially in the optimizing and who can help us a little bit.

Tales of Tamar has been ported to gcc. Unfortunately not everything works fine as it should after it has been started to optimate. Each help is welcome!

Besides this we are still always looking for somebody who wants to create cool Amiga moduls for ToT (Digibooster or Soundtracker-format). These moduls are not a must but they are a funny extra (besides the main soundtrack). (ps) (Translation: dr)

GFX-BASE: DiamondBOX special - new version and Q&A session
On our GFX-BASE we have created a special service about the new version 1.50 of Nikolaj Kiær Thygesen's painting program DiamondBOX. DiamondBOX is a painting program like Photogenics which offers all 'big features' of commercial painting programs but which is for free!

Just for GFX-BASE Nikolaj has written an English spoken Q&A for the new version. There you will learn all important news of DiamondBOX and much more. You can also download the new version from our site.

But there have been some changes on our website at all - we work on a forum and the link list has been also reworked. (ps) (Translation: dr)
