Pegasos: CD32-Live-CD Released via BitTorrent
Marcel 'Frostwork' Unbehaun has released Pegasos software for making your own CD32-Live-CDs. This may be downloaded from pegasos.org via BitTorrent.
The archive only needs a CD32 ISO image of your choice named "cd32.iso" as well as a CD32 Kickstart ROM image named "cd32.rom" in the main directory and then burn it all to CD.
On top of that the CD contains the 3D-Ego-Shooter Aleph One and several emulators (inc. MAME, Sega, Nintendo, and C64). Aleph One requires some additional files that are available by clicking on the previous "Aleph One" link. The emulators require the desired games as well as the BIOS or Kickstart image corresponding to the system.
More information may be found in the instructions in the archive as well as the related MorphZone thread.
The CD32-Live-CD has only been tested on Pegasos II computers so far, the results on Pegasos I are not yet available.

(screenshot). The latest changes:
- Windows were left locked after an export operation
- Arggggggg found a very bad bad in passwords saving. All 1.1 archives are not compatible anymore
- Changed RNG function: now it is a KISS one with a sha1-ed randomly generated seed
- Some minor changes
Please note that old data files which were created with an ancient version of Ling are not compatible to Ling 1.3. Please export all your data prior to
updating to a CSV file and import these files then by hand to Ling 1.3.

Package management system: APMS
With "Amiga Package Management System" (APMS) David Pitcher releases a clone of the known from the Unix world package
manager like RPM or apt-get. APMS should assist users while installation or upgrade of software packages:
The program recognizes dependencies (application X requires library Y) and manages the download and installation
of all required archives.
In a later phase APMS will introduce an Amiga specific format,
also mechanisms to transmit bug reports to a central data base are planned. Additionally support of further platforms
(beside AmigaOS 4) and servers (beside os4depot.net) is thought of.
The first version of APMS still has several bugs and is partly incomplete:
- Install, uninstall and update do not work yet
- Loads of debug output
- The program does not show verbose status information
- Before download the (os4depot.net-) category must be selected by hand
For all interested ones there is a mailing list at yahoo groups available. (cg) (Translation: ub)
