BBoAH: Complete outage of the German mirror
Due to a complete outage of our hoster, the German mirror of the BBoAH is not accessible at the moment.
Since, therefore, no Mails can be received and sent either, it is asked to send important Mails anew when the hoster is back on the Net.
We thank you for your understanding and refer to the English main pages on amiga-hardware.com until then.

Development environment: Cubic IDE available (formerly known as GoldED Studio)
As announced was GoldED Studio with the new version renamed to Cubic IDE (Integrated Development Environment). Officially supports the development enviroment by Dietmar Eilert AmigaOS 3.x and MorphOS 1.4.x.
Below's an translation of the official German press release about Cubic IDE:
Cubic IDE is an development environment for AmigaOS and MorphOS.
ABOUT CUBIC IDE
The main part of Cubic
IDE is the editor GoldED 8. Next to this the package contains several free C/C++ compilers like GCC, the HTML environment Webworld, a
LISP interpreter, the spell checking software Joyce, Roget's Thesaurus, authors modes for Rexx macros and installations and further parts. Cubic IDE
supports developers from the writing of the source codes and the documentation (AmigaGuide and AutoDoc modes) to the creation of installations with the installation wizard that is part of the package. Cubic IDE integrates seamless into SAS/C, vbcc,
GCC and the StormC3 development environment:
- Debuggersupport for users of StormC3: breakpoints are shown next to the text
- a configurable reference system for autoDocs, includes, source codes and other material helps you to find information in a quick way
- the QuickInfo function shows always information for the word under the cursor (e.g. prototypes of the OS functions)
- the QuickFunc navigation shows all functions, structures etc. that are definde in the source code
- inbuilt grep support allows you to search for (and replace) patterns in a list of files
CUBIC IDE REPLACES GOLDED STUDIO AIX
The software's name until now was GoldED Studio AIX and the internal name
was GoldED 7 (upgrades for GoldED AIX users are available on the Cubic IDE website, log in). The new name was chosen to better reflect the content. The first new version number is 1.0, a compromise between an editor on the level of 8.0 and an IDE on the level of 0.4 :) And here's the new logo.
CUBIC IDE KAUFEN
The list price is 69.90 EUR. During the first week there's an introducting price of 49.90 EUR. The software can be bought in the Cubic IDE Webshop.

AmigaOS 4: Shared compiling via several computers
Steven Solie has ported the distcc-packet
(client & server) in version 2.18.3-1 as well as the parallel working possibilities
of GNU make in version 3.81b3-1
for AmigaOS 4.
Thus owners of several computers which work with AmigaOS 4 and which have the
OS4-SDK installed can share the compiling processes on these ones.
Because of still missing functions of the operating system as well as clib2-ts limitations
this ports still are beta versions. A completely working version can be not expected until
there will be updates for AmigaOS 4 and clib2.

Website: Commodore Amiga Information Source closes
Patrick Klöter writes:
"Dear Amiga Friends,
In the last weeks and months, I have been getting around to updating my Amiga web page less and less. Therefore, I have the following announcement to make: The articles from Commodore Amiga Information Source will migrate to the Amiga Future web page in the following weeks.
Whether into the article database or somewhere else, remains to be seen. Andreas and I will try to haul as many articles as possible from my website.
In return, my page will go offline soon. The guestbook, my forum and the ML will also be affected by this. Therefore, I am already referring to the forum of AMIGA Future or the forum of Amiga-News.
This move does not come easy to me, but I am pleased that the content is preserved through Amiga Future.
On this path, I'd like to thank all Commodore and Amiga friends, who have visited this website regularly and provided me with praise and criticism in the 4 1/2 years.
Sincerely yours,
Patric Klöter" (cg) (Translation: cad)
