Event: Xzentrix 2006
The Xzentrix takes place for the 9th time in Seeshaupt in Upper Bavaria from Friday, 8 September 2006, starting at about 3pm to Sunday, 13 September 2006. The Xzentrix is a meeting of computer friend which "believe in a live beyond the standard software".

A quotation of the event description: "08/15 ist out, C64 is in... this or something like this could be the motto of the Xzentrix. We want to offer the computer fans what they seek in vain nowadays: like-minded people...

Simply computer users who don't want to stop with the question "Why does my Office constantly report a general protection fault to 0AF3:037B?', but people for whom it is more important to have fun with their computers rather than to float with the current." (snx) (Translation: iw)

MorphOS: status update of the KHTML porting
At morphzone.org Marcin 'Marcik' Kwiatkowski has published a new screenshot of his KHTML based web browser Sputnik, which illustrates the image quality of a well-known browser test. A comprehensive status update is to follow within a short time.

According to Kwiatkowski he thinks about distributing his browser for MorphOS and AmigaOS 3/4 commercially instead of releasing it within the framework of the MorphOS Bounty programme as open source software as it had been planned originally. (cg) (Translation: iw)
