OnyxSoft: CodeAudio 3.0 / Homepage reworked
On the occasion of the 14th anniversary the OnyxSoft-Team reworked its homepage. Additionally the user-interface CodeAudio - formerly known as TheMPegEncGUI - was published in version 3.0.
Changes:
- An MP3 encoding Wizard has been added which makes it easier than ever before to make high quality MP3 files in no time
- Added support for Flac, the free lossless audio codec
- Updated locale catalogs for German, Italian, Spanish
- Works on MorphOS with MUI 4
- Restructured every encoder GUI that had more than one page and turned them into virtual groups
- Made it possible to drop directories on the list window and the Wizard
- Updated to the latest Lame executables for all systems on the auto-update server
- AutoUpdate should work in E-UAE/Linux now
- Should not try to locate the CD drive at startup everytime now. Also enhanced the CD detection code a lot so it works on MorphOS and WinUAE
- Better installation of FreeDB
- Uninstall options for CDDB and FreeDB if they were installed by TheMPegEncGUI/CodeAudio

WBRSS written by Diego "DCR8520" Casorran is a little RSS-reader which displays RSS-Feeds in a scrolling window. You can also change the window preferences.

The MUI-based AISSTBC ("AISS Toolbar Creator") is supposed to support developers creating button menus: With drag'n drop you can configure and save whole button menus from AISS-pictures.

NZBGet downloads binary files from the Usenet with the help of the NZB-standard. The Amiga-version was created by Diego "DCR8520" Casorran.

Text viewer: EvenMore 0.66-11.03.09
The latest version of the text viewer EvenMore includes the following changes:
- Fixed a bug which meant only files up to 65536 lines could be displayed. File loading should also be faster now
- Plugin code on opening file had broken the loading of XPK files
- Fixed bug which caused the plugin preferences not to be saved if you used the gadget to open the preference window.
- Fixed bug which caused a file handle to be freed twice if reading failed.
- Added "Launch exe" option to the Generic Prefs plugin. Enabling this option will allow the updated Generic2Text plugin to launch an executable file from EvenMore if the user tries to load it.
- Dir2Text plugin will no longer try to sort an empty directory.
- Added a / in the Dir2Text directory listing to allow you to move to the parent directory.
Amiga Future: New full versions
The download section of the Amiga Future was completed with further full versions, manuals, magazines and similar things. Additionally several descriptions screenshots of downloads were updated.

AmigaOS 4: Protrekkr 1.98d
Protrekkr (formerly sold as "NoiseTrekker") is a SDL-based music program which combines a software synthesiser with a traditional, sample-based tracker (screenshot). The AmigaOS 4-port was created by Fredrik Wikstrom.
The AmigaOS-version of Protrekkr uses the latest, dynamically linked version of the SDL-library which works under AmigaOS 4.1. A statically linked version, which also works under OS 4.0, the author provides on his website (protrekkr-static.lha, 488 KB).
It is recommended to use the program in "Fullscreen"-modus.

Event: Little Computer People 2009 (Sweden)
The second issue of the "Little Computer People" (LCP) will take place from 17. until 19. July in Lund (Sweden). The LCP is a meeting for friends of classic home computers and will offer a traditional demo competition as well as several further attractions.
The admission fee will be 12-15 Euro. Further details will be published in the next weeks.

Workbench-Distribution: AmigaSYS 4 (Amithlon) Update R1.2
AmigaSYS is a preinstalled Workbench with many extensions which are mainly useful for users of emulators. Additionally only a file with the Kickstart-ROM as well as at least one Workbench-disk of version 3.x are required.
The update of the Amithlon-version of AmigaSYS includes updated versions of some of the packages delivered with the distribution.

Cross-Compiler: AmiDevCpp 0.9.8
AmiDevCpp is an integrated Cross-Platform developing environment for Windows with which C/C++-applications can be developed for AmigaOS (m68k), AmigaOS 4 (PPC), MorphOS(PPC) and AROS (x86, x86-64, PPC).
Thanks to Markus 'mausle' Weiss all AROS-Cross-compilers were updated to gcc 4.2.2. Further thanks to the wx-DevC++-team for the IDE, Jocke 'zerohero' Birging for the Cross-Compiler for AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS as well as for
Chris 'PortablE' Handley for the beta testing under Windows Vista.

Print magazine: Amiga Future 77 (March/April 2009)
Press release: The Amiga Future issue 77 (March/April 2009) has been released today. This means that all preorders and subscriptions shipped today. In this issue you'll find a short review of SAM440ep-flex. Furthermore there is a review of the recently released AmigaOS 4 SDK and MorphOS 2.2. Of course reviews like Evenmore, Robbo, Warpview and others aren't missing either.
This time you'll find the full version of SoundFX besides other full versions on the cover CD. Moreover there are about 90MB of data and sources of the unreleased game Fortress of Fear. A more detailed description of the content and some excerpts can be found on our website.
The Amiga Future is available as an English or German print magazine directly at the editorial office and from some Amiga dealers. The Amiga Future is available as a single issue and subscription each with or without a cover CD. A few older issues are still available in our online shop.

AmigaOS 4: Demo version of Digital Universe 1.6
Bill Eaves has published a demo version of his astronomy program Digital Universe 1.6. The update to version 1.6 is free for registered customers and there will be a full version for new customers as well.
The demo version of DU 1.6 can be installed beside existing, older versions of the program.

AROS: First beta versions of the Windows-port
Pavel 'Sonic' Fedin has published a first beta versions of the AROS port under Windows.
Currently the bounty project is donated 105 US-Dollar and 23 Euro and with it under Windows a virtual maschine is no longer necessary.
