AmigaOS 4: Claws Mail 3.7.1 for AmiCygnix
For his X11-environment AmiCygnix Edgar Schwan has published a port of the email-program Claws Mail in version 3.7.1. Claws Mail is based on the GTK+-toolkit (screenshots: 1, 2, 3).

MorphOS: UAE4ALL-Update
Mainly meant for Efika owners this MorphOS-port of the Amiga emulator UAE4ALL (amiga-news.de reported) is faster than the previous version. Additionally now the file manager works and the window modus was deactivated.

Poseidon-Bounty: Donation aim attained
With 4170 US-Dollar the donation aim for the source code release and AROS-port of the USB-stack Poseidon was attained.
According to the Poseidon developer Chris 'platon42' Hodges he will start porting next week.

Individual Computers: New production run of the Competition Pro joystick
Press release In cooperation with Speed-Link we re-launched the only true joystick in september 2006: The Competition PRO for connection to a C64, Atari, Amiga, MSX and Amstrad/Schneider. The project was a huge success, only a few resellers can ship the cult device from the eighties at the moment.
Since an end to the demand is not forseeable, we started a new production run together with Speed-Link. Brand new joysticks for computer-classics of the eighties will be available in july of this year. The technical data in short:
- A true classic, an icon of retro-gaming
- Connects to all retro systems like Amiga, C64, Amstrad/Schneider CPC, Atari, MSX
- Six microswitches, two axles, four fire buttons
- Upper fire buttons can be switched off
- Cable length of 1.80 meters (5.9 ft)
The new production run of the Competition PRO Retro was financially supported by our retail partners. The following resellers will carry the new joysticks exclusively until december 31st, 2009:
Speed-Link will also sell a small quantity of the Competition PRO Retro in their Online-Shop. The new joysticks will be available in july 2009 for a price of 14,99 EUR (RRP incl. German VAT of 19%). Also look for bundle-offers at the reseller of your choice!

ExoticA: Music tracks now available as Ogg Vorbis
The demo scene website ExoticA now offers most of the music tracks in Ogg-Vorbis-format. The .ogg-versions are created only "on-the-fly". The ExoticA website includes the Amiga-Mod-collection as well as large archives with music tracks from earlier Atari and C64-scene.

Poseidon USB Bounty: Donation doubling action
Krzysztof "Deadwood" Smiechowicz requested in different English forums for donations for the Poseidon-Bounty. He offers to double all donations which will be paid during the next three weeks to gain the aim of 4000 USD.
Smiechowicz pointed out that the port of Poseidon will not only be useful for AROS but by releasing the sources for all Amiga systems. You can donate at power2people.org.
So far Smiechowicz was known as developer, e.g. he made the AROS-ports of MPlayer and Eternal Lands.

WHDLoad: New packages until 14.05.2009
With WHDLoad you can install games and scene demos on your harddrive which were originally meant only for use with disks. Additionally several incompatibilities with newer Amiga models were fixed.

Youtube-Downloader: getVideo 0.16
With Jürgen Lucas' ARexx-script getVideo you can save video clips of different sites - e.g. Youtube - on your harddrive or play them with a player. Changes in version 0.16:

MorphOS: Software collection "MorphOS-Upgrade" 1.3.4
The archive "MorphOS-Upgrade" includes a collection of preinstalled applications which are supposed to complete the basic installation of MorphOS 2.x.
Changes:
- Suppression of MUI4beta of the 17-04-09 (to avoid writing in the MorphOS repertory)
- Addition of the repertory local in the file
- Addition of 3 plugins for AmIRC (Charset, Tabs, and Typo)
