Text viewer: EvenMore 0.68 (20.7.10)
Chris Perver's EvenMore is a text viewer written in AmigaE. Changes since the last release:
- Sped up various parts of the code by moving ListItem() functions out of loops and replacing them with static lists
- FileTypes.plugin now uses less memory, and doesn't have to scan all of filetypes.txt if a match is found
- Fixed memory allocation problems in Arc2Text which would cause it to lose file information if you browsed more than one LHA archive
- Fixed bug in EvenMore which sometimes prevented more than one plugin processing a file
- Updated HTML2Text plugin to open files viewed through the LHA plugin
- Arc2Text plugin will now store LHA output in a unique filename in RAM: using the timestamp of the file in question. This will enable the plugin to skip the LHA extraction if the file has been viewed recently.
- Directories will now be displayed first in the Arc2Text viewer
- Arc2Text can now extract files and view them by clicking on a file name

Vidar Hokstad has ported David Benn's AmigaBasic-compiler ACE to Linux and has published the sources on github.com. ACE creates still always only binaries for m68k-AmigaOS. But Hokstad is going to create a more portable version which then could create binaries for Linux or AROS on x86-processors.

AROS: Gallium3D bounty completed
The Gallium3D bounty project by Krzysztof 'deadwood' Smiechowicz has been completed and can be found in the Nightly Builds. The author would like to thank everyone who donated to this bounty as well as members of AROS community who helped him with testing the drivers on their systems.
The project which was started almost one year ago provided the following components:
- Mesa.library - the latest version of Mesa3D library which implements OpenGL API
- Gallium.library - a client library allowing other modules to access 3D rendering capabilities. This can be used by clients like OpenGL, OpenVG or OpenCL (in future)
- Software 3D driver - rendering emulation using CPU. Works on any system where hardware 3D is not available
- Hardware 3D rendering for nvidia cards - supporting GeForce 5XXX cards and newer provides hardware rendering capabilities
- As as additional bonus, the bounty brough a new 2D accelerated driver for the complete GeForce family as well as AGP support for some mother board chipsets
