Cheap Amiga-Tablets, exclusive desktop computer planned
Since April Amiga Inc. offers some parts of the announced entertainment electronics sold by IContain with Amiga label in its shop. While IContain also offers Amiga TV and phones, Amiga Inc. is focused on Android 2.2-based Tablet-PCs - currently there is an offer of a 7 inch-OC for 98 USD.
Since six months the company has had sites at Facebook and Twitter to advertise its products.
Some weeks ago Barry "digitex" Altman working for Commodore USA has stated that his announced Amiga-PCs will not try to compete with the mass-produced PCs by Dell: The planned devices will only contain precious components and cost more than 2500 USD.
On commodore.net which is the official website of Commodore USA, some of the announced Amiga models are introduced: Amiha 1000x, 2000x, 3000x and 4000x.
The presented case pictures are identical with the pictures of the website of the producer OrigenAE and were only completed with Commodore and Amiga logos.

WHDLoad-Launcher: Tiny Launcher 1.4.2
Lionel 'Gibs' Deri's Tiny Launcher searches for ECS and AGA games and demos. With a joystick you can choose the game and start it (YouTube-video). WHDLoad ghames and files with the ending ".exe" are recognized automatically. For other endings the user has to create little AmigaDOS-scripts.
In version 1.4.2 some bugs were fixed. Additionally the speed was optimized. Since version 1.4 many of the WHDLoad games can be started on Amigas with only one megabyte virtual memory.

Meta compiler: PortablE r6-27-10-2011 (Beta)
Christopher Handley's meta compiler PortablE completes the programming language Amiga E and translates it into other languages.
There is also a PortablE-forum. PortablE supports AmigaOS 4, MorphOS and AROS and in a limited way AmigaOS 3.x and Windows as well.
Changes:
- Fully tested on AROS & MorphOS (in addition to AmigaOS4), so all the examples now run smoothly & stably. Please download some of the already compiled examples & try them out :-)
- Programs now compile on Icaros v.1.3.x, although an AROS bug in Icaros v1.3.0 to v1.3.2 means that the graphical examples won't look good. Icaros v1.3.3 should fix that
- The GUI module (std/cGui) now supports basic scrollable lists & pictures in buttons (see here for an example), plus many bug fixes
- The graphics module (std/cGfx) now supports resizable windows, can draw circles, and has been heavily fixed & speeded-up for AROS & MorphOS
- Added basic networking support for AmigaOS4, which is compatible with Amiga E
- Added the "Debug" switch to PEGCC, which makes debugging on OS4 much easier. PEGCC also behaves better
- The sound & music modules (std/cSnd & std/cMusic) now gracefully handle the lack of AHI sound, instead of crashing
- OPT MULTITHREADED should now be properly thread-safe, especially FastNew/NEW/etc
- A large number of fixes & tweaks to various things, plus added a couple more Amiga modules, and some missing OS4 functions

Further details to "First Contact"-edition of AmigaOne X1000
Trevor Dickinson (A-EON) and Matthew Leaman (AmigaKit) answered in a thread on amigaworld.net some questions to the recently announced First Contact-Edition of the AmigaOne X1000.
- The X1000-shop is supposed to be available soon under amigakit.com/x1000. According to Leaman it is recommended that interested purchasers notify AmigaKit in advance via eMail to sales@amigakit.com.
- The customer will have to supply a prepayment The whole amount of the price must be paid short before delivery.
- The keyboards with the AmigaOne lettering will be also available in white but the black lettering will be available in more localized versions.
- The systems will be completely built up and preconfigured.
- The optional available Debian Squeeze Linux supports the hardware completely.
- The "First Contact"-offer includes a one-year warranty
- The hardware has series maturity and will be not changed in any way. But AmigaOS 4 does not support all components. THerefore the systems will be delivered with additional plugin cards. This seems to be the only difference of the "Limited Edition" to later editions.

The Third Annual Festive Amiga Game Making Competition
For the third time Moya "Cammy" Jackie will organize the traditional Festive Amiga Game Making Competition. Until 24. December you will have to create a game or playable demo of the game. This year's Festive Amiga Game Making Competition's rule is this::
- Create an Amiga game adaption of the film, television or book franchise of your choice! The only exception is you cannot make a game based on something that was already made into an Amiga game..
- There are two categories: Classic Amiga and Next Generation Amiga. The NG category includes games made for AmigaOS4, MorphOS, Aros or RTG OS3 systems. The Classic category requires the game to run on at least an Amiga 1200 with extra RAM or an accelerator. If it requires a 060 and a graphics card, it'll go in the NG category..
- There will be a panel of experienced judges who will play and rate the games, and then combine and tally the results to find our two major prize winners.

Internet event: Second "Amiga Multiparty"
Press release:
2nd AMIGA MULTIPARTY will be held on Saturday November 5th, an 100% pure amiga event that everyone can attend, no matter where you are or who you are with, at home, with friends… just join us!
There are plenty of small party groups everywhere, connected simultaneously to internet through different channels (IRC, Facebook, Live webcams, ... ;), so we keep this kind of "Amiga Party" spirit we love alive... Just remember how pleasant was spending hours in front of our fav computer, the Amiga, with just a bunch of friends!
AMIGA MULTIPARTY is completely free, and will take place every 1st Saturday of the month. It lasts 24h (Saturday's full day), so that means you can show up anytime you like, there's no restrictions. You can even use a live-stream service like U-stream to show the world what's happening on your side!
We've created a group on Facebook to keep all the events & groups coordinated and also a main website that contains an up-to-date list of Amiga websites in Spanish language.
As said, there are NO RESTRICTIONS to attend AMIGA MULTIPARTY, so that means you don't need a real Amiga or an emulator to join. All you want to do is keep the old Amiga parties spirit nowadays!
On the 1st edition, people (we've estimated over 50!) from all around over the spanish geo (Lloret de Mar, Posadas, Valencia, Tenerife) and even from London or Helsinki joined the AMIGA MULTIPARTY event. We really hope that this event keeps growing and expanding as it deserves, that's why we're trying to get all the small bits sorted out to make it even better!
So, don hesitate to join us the next November 5th, join the AMIGA MULTIPARTY, join the revolution!
Just a couple of videos from Fredius Darde, we are waiting for you all!
