Accelerator board project: Buffee partly Open Source again At the end of March we reported that the turbo card project 'Buffee', originally started as Open Source under a non-commercial Creative Commons license, is fully Closed Source. In a new blog entry from yesterday, the developers now announce that the source code for PJIT has been reopened and the private repository has been merged and closed. From now on there is only one repository for PJIT. Closed Source on the other hand remains the firmware, which contains the boot loader, the PRU programs and the CPLD image, and the hardware design files. (dr) [News message: 18. Kickstarter campaign: 'Tank Mouse' update The Polish designer Lukas Remis had successfully finished a Kickstarter campaign for the re-release of the wireless Commodore Maus 1352 (amiga-news.de reported). In a short status update, the developer writes that he is in the process of updating the mouse firmware and finding the best solution for the USB-DB9 adapter regarding the chip shortage. Next up, he says, is the production of the injection molds. In the recent poll on which color shade to use, most votes fell on RAL 9002, which was also used for the campaign photos. However, the developer is looking into the possibility of using a second color shade: RAL 1013 (overview of RAL color shades). (dr) [News message: 17.
