Videoplayer: Amos Anim Player V2023.06.08 The "Amos Anim Player" of the group "ELECTRIC BLACK SHEEP" is a very simple IFF-ANIM player that runs on any Amiga. It can play compressed IFF-Anim formats synchronised with a separate IFF Audio Sample (or MOD) (amiga-news.de reported). To reduce the amount of data to be processed, and because the animation could crash if the decoded animframe exceeded 40Kb, an Amos programme was included that creates a new image sequence from a given source, reducing the movement between consecutive frames in a scaleable way, as the visual needs of the animation. This can save a lot of data with a relatively small loss of quality. The sample animations can be found under the name ".Reduced". As the developer continues, Ham6 is neither easy to handle nor designed for this kind of manipulation, which is why one must expect visual errors. The visual result would remind on DIVX videos from the past. (dr) [News message: 09. Jun. 2023, 06:26] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] |

Floppy disk images on PC and Mac: Greaseweazle Tools 1.13 Keir Fraser's "Greaseweazle" does - similar to Kryoflux - read the magnetic information on a floppy disk independently from the format used and saves as much information as possible to generate a so-called "Flux Level Image" in Supercard format (SCP), which enables reading and back-writing of copy-protected disks (amiga-news.de reported) The adapter gets connected between a floppy disk drive - e.g. a standard 3.5" PC one - and a USB port of the PC or Mac. Version 1.13 of the Greaseweazle Tools provide the following changes:

The games also serve as an application test of his AMOS Layers System. Changes are limited to a recompilation with its current version and bugfixes. (snx) [News message: 07. AMOS Layers System 1.101 and 2.5 Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua's "AMOS Layers System" allows programmers under AMOS to layer several of its screens, specifying the order, colors and transparency. br> Among the new features of the latest update are minor changes to the commands and a speed optimization. The 1.x versions of ALS are for all custom chipsets, but larger and slower, while the 2.x versions are tailored for AGA computers. (snx) [News message: 06.
