Amiga & Home Banking: Survey Christoph Kimna writes: Inspired by yesterday's report BTX/CEPT Entry Altered I put together in the last few hours a table with the Amiga browsers and the 17 largest banks in which the facts should be entered. You may click on the title link to reach this table. Mails may be sent to banking@def-con.net; I will configure and reconfigure the table. Also under the title link one may reach the threateningly-named "Napalm Attack Page," which unfortunately hasn't been kept current over the last few years, but will be sometime :-). NAP: http://www.def-con.net/index.html (intentionally disabled for MS browsers). (ps) (Translation: dm) [News message: 21. 3D Realms: Source Code of ROTT Released Under GPL The software firm 3D Realms has publically released the source code of the 3D action game "Rise of the Triad" under GPL. A porting to other systems is therefore only as far off as the processing power is limited. You'll find more information about this game here. BTX/CEPT access changed T-Online has changed its access to the old services. For Windwos there is an upgrade available. Unfortunately Multiterm 5 does not manage with the changed protocol and reports a socket error. So the comfortable online-banking with the Amiga has an end. Or does anybody have a solution for this problem? (ps) (Translation: dr) [News message: 20. Dec. 2002, 22:01] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] |

The Kickstart Archives Version 2.0.2 Thomas Unger wrote: THE KICKSTART ARCHIVES - 1 GB PURE AMIGA STUFF The 2-CD-set is available in version 2.0.2. THE KICKSTART ARCHIVES is completely based upon HTML and thus can be read on each hardware and under each operating system. Many sections have been updated. The sections support and advertising have been widely extended. Design and navigation have been revised.
A special thank to Jörg Karisch who has scanned the A500 service manuals and to Alex Lupták (LexSite) who has created a HTML-version of his hardware guide based upon mySQL especially for the Kickstart Archives as well as to S?ren Ladegaard (Commodore Billboard) and Bo Zimmerman (Zimmers.net) who have made their extensive archives of advertising materials available to us. The 2-CD-set costs EUR or USD 10,- (update EUR or USD 5,-) plus porto. For users who order for the first time until January 10, 2003 have not to pay porto. I wish all readers a Merry Christmas as well as a good start in 2003. (ps) (Translation: dr) [News message: 20. Dec. 2002, 18:13] [Comments: 0] [Send via e-mail] [Print version] [ASCII version] |
